the update was to get the new Anti piracy measure on your box.....if you have a modded box you will soon see games not working at all.....assassins creed brotherhood and black ops are the first games to roll with AP 2.5....so if you download games and burn them like i do on my 360 or even have a jtag...stay offline...if you already got the new dashboard your already fucked

i know someone playing black ops on a burned copy. Been on it for about a week now and he has no problems. I'm sure they will catch him sooner or later.

Mine's been freezing slightly after I downloaded the update.

It's not bad as far as looks, but I can't say I like how they flattened some of the menu's.

It's nowhere near as smooth as Microsoft said it was going to be.

the real question is..is he playing it online through LIVE? if he is...he's banned...there have been reports of MS being able to disable your DVD-ROM through this update....im not fuckin touching mine until the next batch of mods come out

His ability to play online is at the mercy of Microsoft engineers sent to scan servers for illegal players.

i don't download games. Mainly because I download enough music to feel guilty about it, and the massive amount of gaming info about games just seconds after their releases have helped me cut back on bad purchases.

I have bought many PS2 games back in the day that just plain sucked, but looked really cool, and it sucked for me because I didn't know to, or was just behind the times with internet blogging and reviews on games.

You talking about performance while some of us are talking about the look of the layout..which IMO has the original Xbox type feel to it, which im not feeling.....If we gonna talk performance you got no complaints from me!

ESPN3 fuckin sucks! It has no content and was defenitly not remotely close to hidef. Only thing i was lookin forward to with this update and it was a major fail...

well guaranteed if he is playing a burned copy of COD:BO his box will be banned on the next wave...microsoft has enabled anti piracy 2.5 and black ops and assassins creed brotherhood are the first to get the updates....enjoy it while it lasts because its only a matter of time

i download 360 games...why? because MS pisses me off with their shit...LIVE should be a free service not a way to get more money from you after you bought their 360 which is known for RED RINGS....thank the internet i learned how to fix it for good and its pretty easy...but once the box is opened you can see why they fail and its like a "wtf" moment...so i dont support MS they are doing fine money wise anyways lol.....but yeah a lot of games like music suck but they cost more....

i bought 4 games for my ps3 this month alone....been a helluva month for games...and the only one so far that had my expectations lowered was NBA JAM
