Let me get like, 5 minutes of your time.

Some good friends of mine are in a band called "The Main Event" and are producing some suprisingly good music. The guitarist and singer are brothers, both of which, aside from making music, are professional motocross/supercross racers (though Vince is currently not competing). This I believe is how and why they named their band as they did. The quality of sound and their music in general is pretty good. Last year they won Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands and earned a spot on Warped Tour (for a single show).

Okay so just listen to this one song and let me know what you think. Even if you don't like it I would still like your feedback because I do value some of the opinions on here and I would like to be able to relay your thoughts to the band.

Unmarked Roads

I'll probably post some more songs later.

I should also add that their sound is probably most similar to Story Of The Year. So while that may not be your cup of tea, try to assess their music based on it's genre rather than the entire spectrum of music. They're obviously not up there with the likes of what we discuss on here, but I do think they achieve a rather high level with respect to the music they're trying to create. Just keep in mind that they are on an local level, based primarily out of Modesto, CA.

He's got a good voice, good melodies too, and I like the guitars at the bridge. Not bad for the genre. Sounds sort of dated to me though, if you asked what year I thought it was recorded in I'd say 2003 lol.

Good call.. you're not far off. I believe they recorded that song around 2005, possibly earlier. They have some material which is much more current, but imo is overall not as good. I picked that song to post because it is my favorite and thought it had the best chance of getting attention.

It-leaked.com is putting together a compilation of songs from it's members. I'm thinking about submitting one for the band.

Here is a song they recorded late last year. The first minute is awesome, as are the instruments throughout the song (which they are quite good at).

Six Feet Underground

What I don't like about it:
· His voice is more raspy, yet somehow more high pitched?
· The chorus seems too radio/commercial.
· The solo.. well, LOL.. i'll let you figure out what's wrong with it.

^Lol @ that post at 6:00am hahah

So Daniel (singer) and Vince (guitarist) are in Anaheim to compete at the supercross event and they are hanging out with John Feldmann in their trailer right now. He has invited them to his studio and is going to listen to their demo.

Keeping my fingers crossed.
