I'm not saying Kobe is better then Mj, what I'm trying to say is that you expect Kobe to become some type of facilitator all of a sudden. The guy is more like Jordan where you seem to expect him to be more like Magic or Lebron. That's not in him, it's not his mentality nor the way he has ever played. Also what good does it do to look good on paper? The Lakers main stars are Kobe, Nash, and Howard make no doubt about that. Gasol and Ron are just pieces that would've already been shipped out if a team was dumb enough to take them with their huge salaries. Also remember Howard as of last week said he was @ 80% and nash has been out most of the season, not to mention the lakers switched head coaches 1 week ago. Don't act like kobe not passing is ruining a well oiled machine that has been on a rampage for years. Kobe knows his team better then anyone, if he feels its in the teams best interest to shoot 50% of the shots then im with that. Also the reason Pau is becoming more useless is D'Antoni's fault not Kobe, Coach Antoni clearly doesn't want pau, he has him shooting threes and jumpers from 18 feet. That has nothing to do with Kobe, those plays are called by the head coach.

@mserikagarza: Lakers would get: Trevor Ariza, Derrick Williams, J Jerebko, & JJ Barea, Minn. would get Gasol & Kim English, Wizards would get Duhon &...N. Pekovic from Minn. & C Villanueva from Pistons, Pistons would get Emeka Okafor... #TradeRumors
work your magic mitch, I appreciate everything pau has done for the lakers but its time to go!

Lakers got team of damn near all all-stars, there ain't no excuses this year.

I agree that pau doesn't fit the system. That ain't on Kobe.

Mj was a facilitator as well as a scorer and a leader.

people need to watch the games and stop judging things based on stat lines. a lot of times someone like morris or whoever else, will fuck around with the ball until 3 seconds are left on the shot clock. then throw the ball at kobe to bail them out. he has no choice but to shoot at that point.

fire d'antoni, bring back "weekend at" bernie bickerstaff! winningest coach in lakers history!

Nuggets got shitted on.

I'm now convinced Gasol needs to be traded for a knock down shooter or be benched. Jamison needs to start and have Gasol come off the bench. Also yesterday wasn't a great example but I've been impressed with how great the Lakers defense has been all season. I don't remember when was the last time they have been this consistent on defense. Once the offense gets going getting W's will be a lot easier. I'm not going to be to hard on the offense though, as of right now Morris is the starting PG(not his fault) and at best he's a back up PG but realistically more like the 3rd string. Word is Nash will be out another 2-3 weeks so the lakers are going to have to minimize the damage until then. So improve at the free throw line and fix the crazy amount of turnovers. Let's go Lakers!!!!!

yea,...get rid of gasol,..then superman has a set back or something worse,..and who you gonna have as a big man in the center?!......idiots,..ya that makes alot of sense,...pau aint dominant but hes all fundamentals and plays with more heart then anybody on the team,...getting rid of pau is and can be a big mistake to come back and bite us in the ass later,..i say keep him, dont judge too soon, and let them play out a whole season,..remember,we still have nash and once hes back hes gonna manage the court like no other and i see a nice running system happening for the better soon!...have faith mann,..and yea,..i kind of would have liked to see ol bernie get a promotion and stay as head coach!...guess we just gotta wait to see wut happens!

go lakers!!!

agree to diagree, first of all I'll begin to pick apart your statments by adressing the "plays with more heart then anybody on the team" comment. LOL are you serious??? I'm not even trolling have you been watching Lakers games these last two seasons?? Pau looks lost, emotionless, like nothing is there. Don't know what happened mentally but he has checked out a long time ago. As for his defense on nights he actually give us 20 points on offense he also then proceeds to allow the opponent to drop 30 on him so it cancels out whatever he did for the lakers. The only two things I can blame Gasols misfortunes on are that he is mentally weak and it doesn't help that the lakers are constantly shopping him, shit last season he was already shipped out but Stern vetoed the trade, also he has slowed down due to the tendinitis on both knees.

I think it's time for a scenery change, its just not working out for him in LA anymore. Look how he turned into a beast in the olympics vs the USA. Something about LA gets him out of sync, Also I'm not ungreatfull for what Pau has done those last two titles LA has are thanks to Pau finally providing that legit second option for Kobe, but that also doesn't mean I'm going to stay stuck in 2010 and hang onto Pau becuase of what he did during that year. Shit if that was the case bring back Ariza, Odom, and Fisher.

One more thing the guy is making 19 MILLION this year. 19 FUCKEN MILLION!! that is more then Lebron, Wade, Durant, Westbrook, etc..

Fuck that game was depressing to watch, lakers fell apart. Worse thing is gasols knees have finally tapped out so he along with Nash and Blake are out indefinitely. Looks like the lakers are going to have to take on his almost 40 million dollar salary this season and next, damn near impossible to ship him out before the trade deadline.
