I still knock that cd. That was a classic album by Jacka. Aint heard anything new yet from the Bay to top that cd.
real shit man

I had just got that CD in 2005 and went down to puerto rico banging that shit in the rental. The production on that album is top notch, and I think everyone came with some nice verses no throw away shit. yea might be in my top 10 bay albums of all time. maybe even 5

an album I definitely bought for the collection

the samples they used (Standing by starz) blind world, the themes of the music were original roblo and whoever did the beats put their stamp on that shit instead of trying to recreate other peoples shit. the beats are the first thing I listen for, and the lyrics were the icing on the cake

^^^^^^^^

I agree with this. The beats were definitely not the style of beats that were popular at the time. They had more of a hip-hop feel too me, with the samples and all. Then you had beats like "Girls Say", "Feel This Clip" and "Hey Girl" (I know it was on his first album too) that were not your average bay area beats either. The album really stood out to me for that fact. Then you got the Jacka's delivery and lyrics. Jacka is very unique with his style, sometimes he even reminds me of Slick Rick with his sing song rapping but still staying Mob at the core. All of that thrown together made an album that really stands out and was very original. This album influenced a lot of peoples sound, at the VERY least it made bay rappers feel comfortable with fucking with samples in their beats.

Definitely top 10 bay area rap albums of all time for me.

This was the first solo Jacka album I got and it definitely solidified my thoughts on him being dope, and I still listen to it all the time.. I am a true Jacka fan but IDK if its in the Top 5 Bay albums of all time.. but it is up there, in my eyes. If everyone in the bay could put out CDs like this I think the Bay as a whole could see a lot more national attention (not that that even matters, but just saying tho). It has every element you want in a well rounded album, it makes you FEEL the music and puts you in the mood... something I really look for when listening to good music. I relate 110% to everything dude talks about, both the good and ugly sides of life.. so when Im out there gritting its part of my soundtrack to life, you dig

I remember those same niggaz knockin it once it dropped tho..............

No disrespect to anyone, but this is my LEAST favorite Jack album. Jack of all Trades was way more versatile. Even though I like his 3rd release over over the first two, truth of the matter is, his first album was THE BEST release.

When I'm real drunk and high, this album only brings me down. I'm a Bay Area kid, and this whole album is waaaay too slow. Life out here is FAST. He must've been off that lean.......
