ay who are we to decide what is good and what is bad? is screwing someone else over bad? but isn't it beneficial to our own survival if we do something that benefits us and damages a rival? adultery can be viewed as merely ensuring the spread of certain genes into the human race. i think that "moral" behaviour resulted from people getting tired of getting screwed over by aggressive people, and thus religion. face it, aggressive people, if let alone, would dominate over the passive. the meek do not inherit the world, the strong do.
That's a good point "Hit The Blunt". I don't know about anyone else, but I believe in God. And I hope that alot of you do too! God does give us our own choices. It explains it in the bible. Even if the planet won't last forever. I know there is somewhere better than here on earth. Somewhere much more beautiful. Somewhere were we won't have to worry about all these little petty things. That's what I believe!

you believe in god and you think that this can be compared to the knowledge that this so called god has, we are not talking about a singe act, we are talking about every act, good or evil(whatever good and evil mean in your great gods eyes) being know Before it is done. and lets say it is the same how would you know this, did you come by this knowledge the same way that your god does. the two have nothing to do with each other

Accually it would make me feel a whole lot better because that is the way to go. I would love to see my fellow brothers and sisters to believe in the truth. If not they will have to pay. And I just know there is someone where better for all of us. Life is my proof. I just believe! I have faith. That might be something certain people don't understand until they are touched by the Lord Our God!

come on, you have got to be kidding me, you are telling me if i dont believe in something that there is no proof of and most people all around the world disagree about what the truth is, whats the real true religion, then i will be punished.
If there was such a thing as a god, do you really think he would punish those who demand proof of something that is unexplainable?
again if there was such a being as god, it would be impossible for any man to say that he knows what god want of him, have you communicated with god, has he told you his wants, needs.

It is the way of life because God say's it is. And I don't care about the rest of the billions of people on earth who might think it's an ignorant statement. I just care about doing what God says is right. I am Catholic.

You keep saying what most people think. Do you base your beliefs on everyone else or do you know in your heart what you believe in is true? There is all kinds of religion. I'm not putting down those other religions. I just believe in God and one god only. Whatever they believe in is what they believe in. But I believe in God. I believe he will punish those who don't believe in him. The proof is there you just have to feel it, and then you can see.

It's not impossible for anyone to say that they know what God wants of them. Because I know. I have communicated with him, in my thoughts and my prayers. I feel him there with me. And yes he has told me in his own way what he wants of me to do with my life.

ok so we are abandoning all reasoning and logic with this conversation it seems
i used to base my beliefs on everyone elses when i was little and my parents forced me to go to church and caticism(sp), i was raised a catholic, got my first communion, but then i started to think for myself and understand the way things are.
Religion is used to control people, teach you whats right and whats wrong.
So will all other religoius people that believe in a different god be punished by your god, will you be punished by their god.
Your must not understand the concept of Proof, i dont think feeling can count as proof, some of us are so blinded my our emotions that we cant see outside of our own viewpiont.
It is hard to question something that everyperson that you have known your whole life tells you is true and you will be punished if you even disagree, or even think of dissagreeing(because dont forget god will know if you are debating his excistence in your mind,lol) and this punishment will not be a prison sentence or anything of that nature, we are talking about being turtured for eternety in hell.
i guess im cool either way though, i cant go to heaven cause i dont believe in god, and i cant go to hell cause i dont believe in the devil.lol

That's a good point. I feel if people truely believe in something than believe in it. Who are you really if you go by what everyone else says. But I believe in God, plain and simple. I do understand the concept of proof. You are just not seeing it because you don't want to. Emotions can get in the way of thinking. If you let them.

God knows the hearts of man. Cuz they were made after the image of his own. He knows what happens cuz you know what your gonna do. Whatever you set your heart on is where you will be lead in life. God teaches good but he can't teach you good if you don't wanna learn good. In the Bible it says somethin like "and then some people were niether hot nor cold. Since you are lukewarm I will spit you out" That means you don't wanna learn. You don't believe in a right or a wrongway to do things. Now keep in mind these lessons were only made after a wrong way was introduced. That's why things aren't in the proper order they should be. If you do bad things and you know they be bad things you still have a chance for redemption. It's the instant you accept the bad as not being bad or good that you are lost forever. God said "they will be as fuel for the fire" meaning the people that didn't believe in good or bad would now be an example to show good people what bad is and bad people what bad is. He's funny like that, no matter how much you try to lie you end up tellin the truth anyway. Cuz if you know somebody is lying then there's got to be truth out there, right? Right. Go find it. Ask questions til you get the answer you're lookin for. Just know what it is your lookin for. And when it seems like nobody will ever tell you the answer... that's where your faith comes in to play. That's the only answer I know for sure... God will help me.
