In the NFC West I would write the Rams off... They lost a good 3rd receiver and Holt and Bruce aren't getting any younger. These aren't the Rams that was coached by Mike Martz so their offense isn't as explosive as they used to be. Teams just gotta stop Stephen Jackson from running through them. Plus Jim Haslett is their defensive coordinator and they can't stop the run for nothing.

Seattle lost Jackson and Stevens and Matt Hasselback is coming off of an injury and so is Alexander but I still won't write the Seahawks off. Mike Holmgren can coach... but the Niners swept them last year so the Niners know they can beat Seattle.

I am not too sure about Arizona though. I don't know if this is going to be the weakest division in the NFL but it's there for the Niners to take it. On paper I would say the Niners are the best team in the NFC West. I think it will depend on how Alex Smith does and if he can develop some kind of chemistry with his new receivers.

1. new england.
2. san francisco.
3. cleveland.
4. oakland.
5. arizona.
to not throw Denver in there is rediculous

I agree with Tony here..Bulger throws up good numbers yes, but he does not win them games. Bruce is just about done, and Holt can only do so much by himself against double teams.

But if STL and SF become good teams, it'll make 3 out of the 4 teams good. How would the NFC West still suck?

Unless you think Seattle will suck this year..
YEAH. YOU GOT ME RIGHT. I THINK SEATTLE WILL SUCK THIS YEAR..

That's because their defense doesn't step up. There's not a lot Bulger can do.

And I agree with Tony about the Niners' success depending on Alex Smith. But I think it will depend more on him being able to manage the game and not lose it rather than going out and having to win it. The running game should put them in position to score, Alex just needs to make sure he plays smart and doesn't blow the game. I think he did a decent job of that last year, but the defense was ass until the end of the season so they lost some games they should have won. This year the defense should be a lot better.

You ain't lyin'... that defense should be deep. I don't see any weaknesses on that defense. None! On the real though... if Alex Smith throws more TD's than INT's I think the Niners will go at least 11-5 and host a playoff game. That's my prediction.
