I mentioned to Ant recently how different the mastering and mixing sounds now without Rebeck.

Everything sounds "muddy" to me, whereas Rob's mixing always had great clarity.

I really thought I wasn't going to get a strange cd for the first time due to that webrip they had out thinking the cd was shit, but the CR rip that is up now completely changed my aspect of it. This album is pretty solid front to back. Won't You Come Dirty has broken my radar detector from the vibration intensity

I thought my ears were the only to notice or thought I bought a lower quality mastered version.

It sounds like they cut corners for features and free pendants for promo

Indeed. I just think that Rebeck has a more meticulous focus on mastering and mixing. It's not that they cut corners or anything. It's just that the focus isn't as strong.

Send Ben back to Rebeck school or O.W.H.H. if this one has the same quality. Didn't Tech say somthin' back in the day about perfection so fans couldn't hear major flaws? It sounds like 192kbps or less to my ears.

Welcome to Strangeland is 100% better than 6's & 7's in this regard. It's still not Rebeck quality but there moving in the right direction at least.

I'm really diggin this album. I've always thought a cd with just Strange Music artists would be great. I am impressed with the way Tech has evolved, I expected cookie cutter albums after Gates but somehow Tech was able to "recreate" himself. His verses are just out of this world on this IMO

Only songs I don't like are "My Favorite" and "Overwhelming" and those aren't even bad songs, just boring to me.

My only real complaint would be too many Kaliko chorus's and just lame chorus's in general.

We know Best Buy has 3, and it's been assumed it's "I Need A Drink", "The Real Thing" and "EMJ". However the other day, Tech spoke of a track "Road Rage" that is supposed to be a bonus too. So Best Buy may have three, and iTunes may have one or more (or FYE, but iTunes is more likely).

EMJ, The Real Thing and I need a Drink are better then most of the album IMO. Definitely have that feel that I think is missing in 90% of his music now
