I told THA RIPPA why I made this Thread. Not too long ago a man in the bay area was released from prison after serving tweleve years for a crime he didn't commit. The man has nothing to do with me personally....aside from the fact that i hook his son up (his name is Will) with music programs and helped him connect his equipment (hook up the midi) and show him the in's and outs of recording.

Is our legal system a sham? What if the homies dad had received lethal injection? Incredible...Why is it that a CEO of a company can bilk the system for MILLIONS and recieve PROBATION. If a person counterfeits, commits welfare fraud OR steals a slice of pizza (I know its wrong) they receive a SERIOUS sentence. As I'm typing this my correctional officer brother in-law says a guy can get 5 bucks for robbing a 7-11 but a ceo can get 18 months or no years at all........incredible...

whats wrong with the picture?

is this a case of the RICH judges being on the side of the RICH ceo (who just might happen to be a fellow mason)?

Its possible. I have another homey who has ALL his traffic fines/tickets tossed out the window. His dads a mason :)

Because they have a large stash of what the system feeds on.

Lawyers have a much bigger impact in court cases then people think. The better the lawyer, the better your chances; the more money you have, the better your lawyer; CEO's generally have plenty of money while those who have to result to stealing pizza, obviously don't have enough. It is no coincidence that people who go with public defenders get the shit end of every deal. I personally know someone who is doin' 10 to life for a murder he didn't committ. He was present at the time, but the people who actually did the killing -- he didn't even know them; guilty by association. He went with a public defender, dumb move. Judges don't sentence you only according to your crime, it's all in the way your lawyer makes you look. Just like a mortgage broker -- their entire purpose is to take all of your financial information, puzzle it together in a *perfect* way, then present it to a bank and bam, you got loan even though you had a bankruptcy. There is a seemingly endless amount of rules and loop-holes in the system, and the better your lawyer knows them, the better he can exploit them. That is what seperates a good lawyer from a "I can't make it as a real lawyer" public defender. If you want my personal opinion, public defenders are just out of work, can't find a job, bankrupt lawyers.

it probly isnt fair
You might as well just drop the "probly" because you know damn well that it is NOT fair.
it is the best that we have.
So your saying we should just say "oh well. That's just the way it is, but it's the best we got"

Shouldn't we try to change this? You know people like MLK and Malcom X didn't just say "oh well". They tried to change things.

^^^^And you think this is fair? This is the kind of system you are constantly defending?
Let me refresh your memory.

Remember this 2-0-Sixx, with all joking aside. I'm not necessarily defending our "government" or president Bush, in a general sense -- I defend the name of this country. You can't say that America is fascist, because the term "America" (as you know it) is everchanging, being that different leaders come to power with different agendas. Was Clinton a fascist (I don't know, you tell me)? I will defend America until I die, even if that means defending it against it's own leaders. It is vital that you distinguish between "America" and those who control it. I will defend this country on many occasions, but I have only defended Bush on this invasion. You see what I'm saying? If Mussolini invaded Germany when Hitler was controling it, I would have supported him 100%, but that doesn't mean I support what he stands for. I am not a fascist, nor will I ever be. If it were up to me to choose our president, he would be neither a democrat or a republican.
