That's a great idea. Where do you find out about these events? Is there a website that all these cosplayers gather? I need to get my creep on..

You just have to get into it. I don't dress up or anything. I've just always been into comics and anime.
Go to meetup.com and there is probably an anime or cosplay group by you. I don't know if meetup.com does AU though.

I go to the ones in Anaheim, LA and San Jose.
I'll try to get to some other cities soon. Those are the big ones though.
NY has some big ones. Then Japan of course.

Considering the guys that go are nerdy as fuck, your chances of getting a nice cos play chick are pretty good.

The Anaheim convention this year was sort of weak. They closed all the booths early for some reason. All the merchants left. The art gallery stayed open for a little bit. The cosplay girls were in low numbers. I went on a Saturday too. Not sure what the deal was...

Sticking with LA next year.
