Only good album they ever put out was Uncle Sam's Curse...and even that album is sub-par as a whole.

THe only album that is classic out of that camp is Kokane's first album. Everything else was average at best.

Maybe ATL is jealous?

IF U DIDNT BUY THE CHRONIC IN 1992 WHEN IT CAME OUT. YOU SHOULDNT SPEAK ON WHATS GOOD.

YOU LISTEN TO MISSY ELLIOT.
YOU LISTEN TO NELLY FERTADO.

I WAS RAISED OFF DRE, EAZY, KING T, MIXMASTER SPADE, ETC.

IF ANYTHING, THE SINGLES GET SKIPPED ON THE CHRONIC. & NOT BECAUSE THEY ARENT CLASSIC PIECES OF MUSIC, BUT BECAUSE IVE HEARD THEM SO MANY TIMES.

HOW U GONNA SAY "LIL GHETTO BOY" ISNT CLASSIC
HOW U GONNA SAY "A NIGGA WITTA GUN" ISNT CLASSIC.
its true

if you werent actually smoking chronic when the chronic came out you shouldnt have a say in this lol
LOL
not beat wise. i think the newer chronic was better than the old one too.

i've had the chronic for probably at least 12 years (i started listing to rap when i was 10-11, around 94-ish)...and i haven't really bumped it passed the songs they played on the fucking radio....i mean, i've listened to it all, but the only GOOD songs are the ones they put on the radio...minus the "deez nuts" bullshit on there.
of course 2001 is lyrically better than chronic.....it should be, they are like 8 years apart or someshit. but how can you say deez nuts is bullshit???? I still be getting muthafuckas with that joke.....shit.....I had that cd playing in the car, turned to my potna in the passenger side and said "aye did what's his name get at you the other day?"

and this muthafucka still said "Who?"

All Eyez On Me, hands down. Tupac has way better subject content on his album, plus I imagine he wrote everything on his own. I don't know if the same shit can be said for Dre (partially cause he had people writing for him on the most recent Chronic album).
you know that most of all eyez on me was other death row artists material for their album and suge came to everyone like "whatever shit you're working on now is going to pac's album" Dre doesn't write his own verses, but he still orchestrates the song and that's still a part of writing music. Dre did more work on the Chronic than Pac did on all eyes on me.

To me, there were three albums that were all about equal. These two and "Doggystyle." I think that Doggystyle was better all the way through than both of these albums.
I'd put doggystyle equal to chronic just because with no chronic there is no doggystyle, but yeah that album is one of the greatest of all time. I'd put Chronic & Doggystyle into the top 5 rap albums of all time, I don't think I could to the same for all eyez on me

The albums being possible due to 1 thing or another doesn't matter. It's just which album is better plain & simple. Some of the things I like the most about the Chronic, is the beats & features. 2pac the best rapper with many songs & with beats from Dr. Dre, you believe it's better than the Chronic.

The Chronic: first into to Snoop (besides Deep Cover), the beats were innovative, whole thing flowed from front to back, I could go on a little more, but I won't.

I just remember being like 16, taking that home and being like "Damn, Dre stepped the game up to a whole 'nother level".

Not to say AEOM wasn't a good album, but it didn't have the same impact on me.
