I am from Corvallis, but the music scene is way too shitty here. I got accepted to a recoding school in New York and that's more then likely where I am going to end up. I've been checking schools in Cali also.
Anyways, haha no I'm not British, I don't know where that came from. But I truely do like to consider myself a good artist with a lot of potential. I have like over 250 songs done that nobody has heard because I'm hoping that if I get the chance for some real production help I can release them on a cd. The songs on my myspace or soundclick are still dope ( I think )
Once again I'm all about making music so if any of you guys want to collab I say let's do it.
On the other hand though, I don't know how my tracks like "Yeah I Guess" can be overlooked and that somebody else can " wreck them ". I spit fast and clever all at the same time. No bullshit
I post all my lyrics on my soundclick page so people can read them so check them out and actually look over them. It's skilled writing.

it seems to me the most successful artists or the ones putting the MOST hustle/grind in, are the ones who are on here the LEAST.
like my boy Pain....dude's always doin music, and is busy as fuck workin at least 40-50 hours a week.....

i have a full blown 55 page advertising campaign that i've already done. so i'd use it as a template....adn then go from there.
i was told by the professor i had, that if i was gonna sell it or do that, i shoudl charge $1,000 but nobody can afford that here. lol

having been one of those three replies, i would have to say i completely agree.
there are some people doing it out here and are making good music.

he is gettin fire beats from local producers and pushin his own shit to the max..
i mean.. thats what NEEDS to be done.
people can't expect to download instrumentals off the internet, record in their basement, make a myspace page and expect to blow up.
if you are making music just for fun, then that is fine.
but when people claim to be the best in the area, and want to actually make a name, but don't spend ANY time or money to do it.

I also think the NW isnt as consistent with music... only a handful have been like that.
Jus Family, Speedy and a handful of others and that's it. Maybe katz in the NW that know artists, should tell them to get on here and push their muzik.
Maybe get some kind of deal with the siccness for their muzik, kinda like how the sicc shop got alot of so cal and souhern titles going.
