i would love to see the bay area rap music scene to come together in harmony after all of this. Promoters actually promoting and not just posting some shit online. I would like to see more collab projects like the early days and rap summits, or better yet a bay area rap think tank with all the industry folks so we can strive to put out better quality with everything we do. Even tho cd sales are down, i still think we can create a drive to bring it all back up and get fans running back to the stores again. The in store signings at our local rasputins were big even tho it never seemed like so much. we gotta do things more globally and work together in unity. i know everyone not gon get along, but we need to conduct business out here better so we can keep our history alive. we are losing way too many of our artist, friends and family out here. just my thoughts

Put this together last night, I wasn't feelen some of the other mixes that left the features in, I wanted a pure Jacka verse mix - So I basically made this a 40 min mix of 16's I was feelen...

Made it downloadable.
Too me leaving the features in is right, cause jack brought something special out of people.

How can you expect for any of this to happen when the average bay rapper can't spell B.M.I? What you're suggesting is highly unrealistic as it creates a business situation where there are too many hands in the pot. Too many chiefs and not enough Indians.

You absolutely do have to do things globally but you can't work together with someone for the sake of unity. If the person has a similar business model, company culture and their brand is something that reflects you and your values then do it. If it's simply to "bring the bay back" hell fuck no.

Want to conduct business better? Then people need to decide, right now, if they want to choose life or death. Make the choice and prioritize accordingly. If you are going to do music, remove any and all outside influences that will impede it and focus strictly on music. Can something still happen to you? Absolutely, but we are talking about things in your control. If you want to be in the streets, then go all out. Have enough guns to turn a niggas block into Beirut, don't get high off your own supply and re-up before you sell out (if you're slangin') and if you are pimpin and mackin remember that women choose.

But you CAN'T mix the two together. Those days are over now.

(BTW, when I said you and your I am speaking in a general sense.)

One death? Are you retarded ?

oakland is known for stray bullets killing babies and little children. On a REGULAR basis.
#killyourself
The one death I am talking about, which is the one death everyone in this thread is talking about, is Jacka's.

Hey genius, do you think Jacka was saying fuck Oakland? Unlikely. Now I understand his death may have impacted you in a negative way but there is no reason to say fuck Oakland when the same shit going on in Oakland is going in Queens, Camden, Frisco, LA, San Diego, Vallejo, Richmond, Detroit, Baltimore, Chicago, EPA, Magnolia, Houston, Seattle, etc.

Again, I know you are hurting over his death, and that you probably have thought about killing yourself since you posted the hashtag, but there is no need for that, breh. They have hotlines and shit to help you. If not, church is tomorrow, and there is usually two or three on every fuckin corner, so you can get the help you need.

Be cool, breh.
