man i think 40 is doin big thangs write now. but i can kind of agree that Tell Me When 2 Go was not a wise choice to use as his single. its koo if you are trying to reach the ears of your fellow yayareans... but think about it for a minute... can you picture sumone in Wisconsin or Maine in their Jeep Cherokee singin along GHOST RIDE THE WHIP GHOST RIDE THE WHIP... DOORS OPEN MAYNE DOORS OPEN MAYNE.... or even THIZZ FACE THIZZ FACE...
i think a wiser choice would have been to go with the E-40 Ft. T-Pain... the e-40/t-pain song gets just as much requesting if not more then Tell Me When 2 Go... and i think that the e-40/t-pain song would have built a stronger fan base where e-40's fanbase is somewhat weak...
furthermore... keak da sneak as a feature on your single can cause you more harm then good... dont get me wrong im a big keak fan... but keak is an artist that you either like or dont like... there's no in betweens with him... now someone who isnt from the bay have a hard time understanding him or even relating to what he is saying... i have heard from alot of people... "that tell me when 2 go song is tyte but kinda lost me when the second guy was rapping... woulda been better without him." at least t-pain is somewhat neutral and better known...
i dunno just my opinion... everyone has one right?
Well....I put up a post a few days ago about how Florida is catchin onto the hyphy movement, and how they treat the song like it is theirs because they are on it so hard. The DJ's are ALWAYS screamin out random phrases from the song..."I see y'all out there wit ya stunna shades on!!!" "Go dumb!!!" "we off that 18 dummy juice!!!!" and all type of shit.
I just got back from a club, and it was people down there who've never been to California before who were doin every dance they knew to it when it came on, and they were almost tryin to look at me n my homeboys like we were foreigners because it was more of them doin it than us tonite. So believe that this song is makin MAJOR noise.
The song with T-Pain would be about as good of a choice of single as it was for Game to make the second single with 50 Cent....because people would love it because of the Lil Jon beat and T-Pain hook, and believe me that it would do NOTHING for the Bay or the Hyphy movement. It is one of those songs that you can take off the main artist (E-40 this time) and put any other good rapper on it and the song will have the same impact, because it was like a "ready to be a hit" type track. Tell me when to go's unorthodox dopeness is what makes it big and that is why it's gettin major attention to the Bay.
