"It's a Slumper" or several other songs would have been 1000x better to put forward as singles.

.
ARE US SERIOUS "It's SLUMPER" is better than Tell ME WHen TO GO? lol u out ya mind....Tell ME WHen To Go why you care so much that its just a catchy song. Since you are sayin it wont get radio play...LAST TIME I CHECKED CATCHY SONGS GET PLAYED ALOT. Tell MEwhen to go gets the clubs crackin....way more than its a slumper...I GOT A GOOD EXMAPLE
look at this video from his performance in long beach...the crowd it dead when its a slumper is performance but go crazy when tell me when to go is performed...plus last time i checked Tell When To Go has been gettin more and more spins each week...

man i think 40 is doin big thangs write now. but i can kind of agree that Tell Me When 2 Go was not a wise choice to use as his single. its koo if you are trying to reach the ears of your fellow yayareans... but think about it for a minute... can you picture sumone in Wisconsin or Maine in their Jeep Cherokee singin along GHOST RIDE THE WHIP GHOST RIDE THE WHIP... DOORS OPEN MAYNE DOORS OPEN MAYNE.... or even THIZZ FACE THIZZ FACE...

i think a wiser choice would have been to go with the E-40 Ft. T-Pain... the e-40/t-pain song gets just as much requesting if not more then Tell Me When 2 Go... and i think that the e-40/t-pain song would have built a stronger fan base where e-40's fanbase is somewhat weak...

furthermore... keak da sneak as a feature on your single can cause you more harm then good... dont get me wrong im a big keak fan... but keak is an artist that you either like or dont like... there's no in betweens with him... now someone who isnt from the bay have a hard time understanding him or even relating to what he is saying... i have heard from alot of people... "that tell me when 2 go song is tyte but kinda lost me when the second guy was rapping... woulda been better without him." at least t-pain is somewhat neutral and better known...

i dunno just my opinion... everyone has one right?
The whole point of Tell Me When To Go in this case was to venture OUTSIDE of the bay area. It aint too far fetched to imagine mufuckas in Wisconsin wit Stunna Shades on and ghost ridin the wip because it's the latest thing to do.

I can tell you don't follow industry trends and don't understand how to work an album so I'll leave it at that. Obviously this was the right choice for 40. Current records sold may not reflect that (according to some of you), but that's why you have a follow up single (U and Dat) and possibly a third single. I wouldn't be surprised if they spliced a quick little video for "Yee" into the U and Dat video and ran with that as the third single.

Most of y'all need to just be fans and quit worrying about the moves behind the scenes. "Just buy it and bump it" - Dr Dre

Tell me when was a smart choice. Everybody around the nation is looking 4 something new and that was it!! Peaple love that song plus the video is hella hood! No video bitches just rips and hood shyt. "U and Dat" will be big I hope he puts "Yay Area" at the end of that video. I think little X would make that shyt go numb!

Well....I put up a post a few days ago about how Florida is catchin onto the hyphy movement, and how they treat the song like it is theirs because they are on it so hard. The DJ's are ALWAYS screamin out random phrases from the song..."I see y'all out there wit ya stunna shades on!!!" "Go dumb!!!" "we off that 18 dummy juice!!!!" and all type of shit.

I just got back from a club, and it was people down there who've never been to California before who were doin every dance they knew to it when it came on, and they were almost tryin to look at me n my homeboys like we were foreigners because it was more of them doin it than us tonite. So believe that this song is makin MAJOR noise.

The song with T-Pain would be about as good of a choice of single as it was for Game to make the second single with 50 Cent....because people would love it because of the Lil Jon beat and T-Pain hook, and believe me that it would do NOTHING for the Bay or the Hyphy movement. It is one of those songs that you can take off the main artist (E-40 this time) and put any other good rapper on it and the song will have the same impact, because it was like a "ready to be a hit" type track. Tell me when to go's unorthodox dopeness is what makes it big and that is why it's gettin major attention to the Bay.

actually i do follow music trends and the only reason i said my peace was because the thread is about the tell me when to go song... well i talk to a lot of people and i mean alot of people... who listen to rap in different states and even different countries and alll im saying is that probably around 75% said they werent feelin or didn understand tell me when 2 go and they liked U and Dat better. as for my personal opinion i like the tell me when 2 go song more then the u and dat song because im all into the hyphy movement... so no reason to start talkin shit hommie cuz i was just voicing some opinions like everyone else on here has been doin...

Think about it, what if 40 were to release "U and Dat" first. His albums sales would have topped out the first week. Then he would have just fallen into oblivion. There would be no more room for any 40 singles if that happend because everyone would have been tired of him by the time "UAD" made it's run.
