ZOOT SUIT, I DO BELEIVE MAY HAVE ROOTS FROM THAT ERA. BUT ALOT OF WHAT IS CONSIDERED CHOLO STYLE WAS ORIGINATED IN PRISON OR FROM BEING INSTITUTIONALIZED.
NOT TOO MENTION ECONOMICS AND MEANS AVAILABLE.
AT THAT POINT IT WAS FOR THE MOST PART, WHITES AND MEXICANS TIL THE MAJORITY OF BLACKS MIGRATED FROM THE SOUTH.
