sickology is good shit in my book

i liked most of the songs..

the beats are really fucking nice...

and to say Tech stayed in one style the whole cd is just retarded..

only 1 or 2 tracks have the same feel at all...

and I think some of Techs best verses in a long time are on this album..(first verse to red nose and far away)

this cd is far from fake...if this shit is fake than so is every other album he put out...

and as far as the autotune goes..it worked well on the songs it was used on..and plus Tech gets a free pass to do that shit since he actually worked with Troutman.. unlike all these ringtone rappers

It is an altering of the voice which is very similar to the auto-tune effect. Akon recently said he is the one who started using auto-tune before everyone else and that is complete bullshit. People have been using it for a long time and just recently it has become big and popular.

Just to add another layer to this debate....

My main engineer Aaron Connor used this effect while demoing an outboard Antares auto tune unit when he mixed Cher's "Do You Believe In Life After Love." After his mix of that song Antares began referring to the tweak of their unit as the "Cher" effect. This is what T Pain and Akon is essentially using.

Troutman used a talk box which actually synthesized his voice and he in turn played it with a keyboard...that is nothing like using autotune to overbend someone's voice.

Well I have been proven completely wrong and I have made an ass out of myself and I will admit it.

All I really going for my argument was that it is a way to make your voice sound different.
