Cheers Silcc.. I was scouring for ages to try and find that thread because I did remember running into it ages ago..

I am still wondering who Bishop is relating to Tech N9ne.. if anyone could help me out that would be appreciated..

ECF'NW.
Bishop is an R&B singer and writer. I forget the name of his old R&B group, but I think they were signed to or affiliated with R. Kelly.

If my memory serves me right the song "Stutter" by Joe was written by Bishop and was about his girl and Tech's relationship.

So, in "This Ring" Tech says "I hope my son don't sing the same song" meaning he doesn't want him to turn out to be like that, He is speaking about donte right? And techs wifey didn't have that child correct??

Cause I think tech and wifey only have two little girls.

Yes he's speaking about him, then his son proceeds to do the "Da, Da, Da, Da" leading into the hook.

R. Kelly Unveils Protege Group, Talent

Craig Rosen

(10/16/00, 5 p.m. ET) - R. Kelly is launching another recording entity, an R&B trio called Talent. The multiplatinum, Grammy-winning artist, producer, and songwriter discovered the group, which drops its first single, "Celebrity," on his Rockland Records imprint Thursday (October 17).

Kelly previously introduced chanteuse Sparkle, who lodged a hit with Kelly in 1997 on "Be Careful." The group Talent hails from Kansas City, Missouri, and consists of Keith Murrell, 21, Marlon Hatcher, 21, and Earnest "Bishop" Dixon, 20. A press release from the label describes "Celebrity" as "a mid-tempo tale about a relationship that goes wrong when a girl leaves the man that's had her back from day one for some one with more money and fame."

The video for the track was directed by Christopher Erskin and co-directed by Kelly. The group's debut album, Bull's Eye, will be released in January.

Case solved I'd say. Never realized Bishop was behind that song though, makes the stutter line in Turn make a lot more sense. Ha.

While you're all into solving mysteries today, could someone tell me what happened to the mexican kid who used to sell lemonade at the Royals games? He would shout "LEMONADE, LEMONADE" I remember his voice was also included on an early 2000's copy of MLB or Triple Play baseball game for PS2.

Anyone remember that dude?
