Whether he signs with Strange or not, I wouldn't be too surprised to see him turn up on the Collabos album, since he was in the studio with Tech. Tech seems to dig him, calling him a "real lyricist" and whatnot, so if he had him in the studio and Collabos isn't complete yet, I could see him taking the opportunity to try and get a verse.

yep, wouldnt surprise me. from what I've heard, I wouldn't mind them signing him, he'd be better than Cognito IMO. Cognito just isn't my style I guess. And I like some Big Scoob, but Jay-Rock seems to be better than him too. Why not?

Anyone that can match rhythmic lyrics to a beat can be considered talented. There's an echelon of artists and where they rank. Jay Rock is an upper echelon lyricist, whereas Scoob's entertaining and I actually dig him, but he's not on the same level.

May be completely unrelated, but Jay Rock just tweeted:

"BIG MOVES ARE ABOUT TO BE MADE. MARK MY WORDS. TDE HAS SOMETHING REAL BIG & SLICK ABOUT TO POP OFF..SO GET READY!"

He'll be on Strange music West if he signs. BLH is doing well, and Cognito is... hell, I have no idea why he's there.

They'll add a few people to that label so it looks full to the public and viable to other record companies.
Still cracks me up. You make suggestions that make it seem like your a record executive and KNOW that Cog isn't worthy of being on the roster. Tech vouches for him, Travis as well not to mention all the other people in his corner. I understand if you weren't part of the Strange Street team or if this artist did something like fuck your girl or something but other than that I don't get it. As soon as you understand that Cognito wasn't signed to please YOUR musical needs ONLY then you will understand from a record label standpoint WHY he was signed. The fact remains that he is signed,he has a record deal with the biggest indie label and they have a game plan for him that is to reach many many fans.

ya lds always come off like that...seriously tho cognito's weak. JRock is a better MC but he aint as great as all the hype he got goin .maybe it would be a smart bizz move 4 numbers cuz he hot n respected ryt now but theres a handful out here (west) better all aroung and better fitting than JRock...ask the S.Cal and the Bay Boards.

It's my pleasure.

I swear I'm a better troll than most people on the Sicc. Not better than MEXCOM, though. He's got it down to a fucking science.
