I really think he did himself wrong on this album... I just got done listenen to it and basically you could of just titled this whole album "Cry Baby"...

I mean for realz, I feel ur pain Tech for all this shit you have had to go thru in this world and all the struggles and hurdles you have had to jump through to get to where you are today. But damn man you talk about it like 7-8 songs on this shit mane....

You are JUST NOW spreading around to everyone and now you come out talkin about your done and this is it, and this gonna be your last verse. Its like WTF? If someone who just now has heard of you, goes and gets Killer they are gona start the album off like hell yeah this shit is tha shit. But then as soon as they hit One Good Time, from there forwards its all about how you never made it, and how noone gives you the respect you deserve and blah blah blah....

What you should of done is just say fuck it, they dont wanna see me Ill just keep puttin out dope ass shit and keep the fans I do got breakin their fuckin necks to my shit. Not saying fuck everything you have done, basically saying what you got now "which is us" aint worth a shit... All those tracks you could of just put straight bangers, but yet you waste em with just bitchin about how you aint makin it... Your on the verge of breaking that line between underground and mainstream and u just said fuck it to the whole thing and wasted half the album...

Let me edit this post because I think you won't be satisfied with my first answer. He said that he was doing itlike it was his last rap album. You said he said it WAS his last rap album. Maybe you need to listen to the intro again. He's gonna write what his heart feels on it and he said he would. Tech n9ne is inside out with his fans. It's by far the be st album you've ever heard. I expected nothing but positive reviews on this.

And I understand that but I mean its like damn... We need 5 songs about the shit? One Good Time, Happy Ending, Cant Shake It, Hollier Than Thou and Last Words... ALL basically have the exact same message.

Pretend that you have NEVER heard of Tech before, you are a huge Ice Cube fan and you hear that Cube is featured on this dude Techs album, so you download it to check it out. And you hear all these songs about not makin it, not getting recognized, not selling millions like Em n Nelly. Would you wanna hear more from this dude? I fuckin wouldnt....

Now dont get me wrong, its still a really good album, there are songs I really really like on here. Still rippin it, but he could of cut half these songs and kept it to 1 cd and it would of made for a much better project I think. First time listeners are not gonna get hooked by this I dont think...

This album aint gonna take Tech world wide I can gaurentee that...

Umm, you take Tech's song diversity and versatility as emo? I just find that weird because everything about "one good time" is ill.

Emo or whatever u want to call it, its real shit and thats what many people like about tech. Thats what drew me to tech, and i listened to AP before Anghellic.

Maybe those 7-8 songs you spoke of will make new listeners check out his old stuff to see what he actually means and understand all the shit he's been through.

yeah i don't know what you're talking about

i like all those songs way more than bangers like Everybody Move

he does it so he can please all listeners.......some people, like me, like the serious Tech and some like the club banger Tech

this album is the perfect way to please everyone

and for the record you are crazy if you don't think One Good Time is one of Tech's best songs

and i can GUARANTEE you more people would be pissed than the amount of people that would be happy if he didn't have songs like that on the album

I don't see how 5 songs on a 28 track album (Not counting skits) that you don't like is going to turn other people off.

Let's say though - even if they did, there's still 23 songs still on the album. 23 god damn songs. That's a full album and THEN some.

I actually like when he talks about his pains and shit in life...........a lot better than just "party" songs. I actually think this album is a great balance.

yeah but it wouldnt've no matter what cause theres way more involved then just music and you know that. i mean what can the guy do? act like he aint hurting to make it cause he is and he's always rapped about his life so he will make these "emo" songs cause he's not where he wants or deserves to be. this topic is a double edge sword cause u can say he's "emo" or if he did make all "bangers" the real fans can say he sold out. tech's just doing what he does best and thats rapping. and if he was feeling down 5 times while writing songs for killer then so be it. remember theres 32 track on this fucker and with MANY varieties of fans ppl arent gonna like some tracks. like the section, i dislike all but on song in that part but i can respect the songs knowing he's being true to how he is n shit ya know. best solution for this delima ur in is to skip over the tracks, that will leave you with 21 official songs and most artist dont even put that much tracks out in 1 year.

And I dont expect many of you to agree with me, because most people on here are die hard Tech fans and like to look for deeper meanings in shit and not just like the chorus and beat... Tech does not attract the average listener, he attracts people who think outside of the box.

But for a regular radio listener who has been bumpin Lollipop in his car for the past 2 months is not gonna get hooked on this album and go buy it.

^^^^but tech will never be like that. i would rather have skill and respect than to have millions if i was doing something that meant so much to me. all this new rap shit is like the disco of our generation, none of this will ever be remembered and will always be remembered as the "what the fuck were we thinking" era in the future. tech is just way ahead of his time and theres nothing he can really do about it.

Anghellic had songs just like it, so did Absolute Power, I mean on AP I am sure alot of fucking people didnt know who Don Juan was but loved yada yada yada, cause its obvious it was coming from somewhere real. When the fuck are you gonna understand that Tech writes his life? Its how he feels and that is what he writes, period.

eminem sells millions and he makes music like Tech (well he used to)

some serious, some fun and some bangers

if tech would put out The Waitress as a single and really promote it.....the album could be big imo.......i mean probably nothing HUGE but bigger than his other albums

I swear, The Waitress has every quality of a hit single.....catchy beat, catchy chorus and a catchy line everyone would have stuck in their head (work that, work that, work that )

and thats another thing. granted those emo songs are about tech alot of people can relate to those types of pain and can vision there life with his story therefor building a stronger connection with him. thats the main reason his fans our one of the biggest and diehard.
