I still don't get the Lil' Wayne hate.
The guy (ofcourse before he went in to jail) records every chance he gets and he actually cares about getting constant new material out to his fans. A little off balance but he's witty, some of his lines are fresh others are so-so but the guy does have lyrics. It's not all mumbles come on now listen to Tha Carter 2 as a whole, most of Tha Carter 3 or listen to all his freestyles on No Ceilings.

I have this feeling a lot (not all...) of Lil' Wayne hate comes from the fact he does get constant airplay and exposure. I don't hate the guy just because he's lucky enough to get constant airplay and is always jumping on guest features. Shit, like I said this is a GREAT look for Tech.

There hasn't been a single song of his (besides Block is Hot, Bling Bling etc. TEN YEARS AGO, when I didn't know any better) that I found decent, ever. Like I've said before if I hear something new from him I leave it on for as long as I can stand because I don't understand a fucking thing about why people enjoy his music. I hate the beats, I hate the verses, I hate the chorus... I hate his features.

I don't even like listening to the guy talk. He aggravates me. I literally find him hard to understand. A rapper needs to speak/rap clearly for at least most of his shit. Things that I've heard not only does he mumble with a weird scratchy voice but I've heard verses from him where he somehow forgets to rhyme.

I even watched his Behind the Music type thing. I don't mind listening to the guy when he speaks like a human being but that's at most 50% of the time.

I dunno. He might be a cool dude, I dunno. But he's just not interesting to me more than he's annoying.

Either way good for Tech but boo for me. I think Wayne should be shining Tech's shoes when it comes to talent.

wayne can learn a lot from tech and tech can use his contacts n name win win situation for both of them

I agree, I think wayne is a lost soul right now. Weither it be drugs or just bad influence in general. I just think he does what people tell him to do and not want he really wants to do. Like I said before its clear as day his heart is not in it anymore. Look at that block is hot shit 10yrs ago and look at him now. most of what I see now is like "eh here ya go" type shit. just my thoughts.

This past August, Lil Wayne conducted one of his first radio interviews from jail with Funkmaster Flex. During the call to New York’s Hot 97 FM, the incarcerated MC was asked which artists he’d like to collaborate with once he was released from Rikers Island, where’s he’s currently serving a one-year sentence for a 2007 gun charge. His response, “I’ve been saying to myself that I really want to do a song with either Andre 3000 or my man Tech N9ne.”

Since then, the hip-hop community has been abuzz about Wayne’s interest in Kansas City MC, Tech N9ne, who, despite amassing a cult like following, has seen much of his success outside the mainstream circle.

Last week, Tech and Strange Music signee Krizz Kaliko appeared on XXLMag.com’s weekly Ustream series, Spotlight, [watch here] and the KC MC revealed that he was scheduled to meet Wayne that Wednesday. Unfortunately, there was a mix up on the days and he was denied entry to the visiting area at Rikers. However, 24 hours later, Tech and Wayne were able to have their first face-to-face meeting this past Thursday.

In an exclusive sit down at the XXL offices, [watch below] Tech revealed some of the surprising details of his three-hour conversation with the Young Money CEO. “We talked about creationism and Darwinism, man,” Tech said. “We talked a lot about people, we talked about Kanye, we talked about Waka Flocka, we talked about Nicki Minaj, we talked about T.I…. But three hours just kickin’ it, man… It was a wonderful visit. They say at Rikers Island you can only get like an hour or two but we were there for like three and a half hours just going until the warden came in. The warden came in and it was time to stop, but I ain’t wanna go, man.”

Before ending his visit, Tech and Wayne got to speak about everything from family and religion to the all-important possibility of collaborating in the near future. “[Wayne] also said that he wanted me on Tha Carter IV and I’m like, ‘Yeah, nigga, let’s go,’” Tech explained. “I said, ‘I got one for you, too.’ I got [a song] calledThis is Hip-Hop,’ if I could get Marsha Ambrosius to sing on there and possibly get Eminem on it, too… He was like that sounds dope.”

Despite the prospect of working with one of the most successful artists in the game, Tech says he appreciated the opportunity to sit down with a real dude. “[Wayne] seemed happy as hell, man,” he added. “I just hated to see him in that orange suit. I told him that he ain’t belonged there. He talked about how bad he wants to get out and see his kids. I told him you’ll be out sooner than later.” —Anslem Samuel

I agree. It's good promo for Tech. But I think it's retarded Tech is kissin' Waynes feet over all this. It's one thing to be like "Oh yeah? Wayne wants me on a track? That's pretty dope. (End of subject). It's something entirely different to be like "Holy crap I can't believe Wayne has heard of me when really I know everybody's heard of me and just ignores me. I'm going to visit him in prison, kiss his ass, and give him all the hype that he's already gotten and doesn't deserve." What the fuck ever Tech.

Tech just writes verses to fill the time in between chorus' now. And half the time if he can get someone else to do it for him he does that. The guy negates himself all over the place.
