Oh please

Travis O'guin is a faggot. He is the reason Tech tries to please everybody instead of doing what the fuck he wants. Tech doesn't need him anymore.
Dude you are fucking retarded. Give Travis some respect. If it wasn't for that motherfucker puttin up the money he made from his furniture business....Strange Music wouldn't be anything like it it 2day. Know your shit bitch.

4 Real?

Dude if you aint down with Tech and his flow....then you pick up a mic and see if you got something harder.....City 2 City isn't a hard song whatsoever....why would he go crazy hard and make everybody else on the track look bad??? Go listen to Knock 'Em Out. It's a Bizarre track. Notice Tech isn't going as hard as we all know he can....because he can't make Bizarre look like shit considering it's Bizarre's album...ya dig?

Tech will always try to fit in and match the track he is rhyming on, not saying he doesnt shine the most on the track, but if you notice shitty songs always just sound like shitty songs. Regardless of who is on em.

I'm jus tired of everybody on Strange sayin this album we're going big, breakin into the mainstream, affecting the world and all that shit. Then theres little to zero promotion on a album goin ALL WORLD. I understand tryin to hype up the album sayin that but its like they dont try to anything big. KILLER could have been SO MUCH bigger. But this isnt the promo thread. I feel Tech and Strange has made their money. But if your drivin a Maybach, you could probably afford a "hot mainsteam" beat. That will get alot more attention from the mainstream status they are wanting. But they say they want that status but i dont know if they do? Thats all i got for now and this was meant with no disrespect, just sayin.

They want to set a new standard and be the new sound, the problem is they are so versatile in in thier sound, which to me is not a problem. They are getting closer and closer doing it thier way, and that is what is important. Why the fuck do any of us have a time table for it anyway? We are already getting his music. When it gets to the rest of the world is his perrogative.

Im not concerned when he blows up. Im gonna buy it regardless. I'm just tried of all the shit talking and NOTHING blowin up. I really do want to see the best for all em cuz they down to earth and put so much effort into music. They deserve it. If your not gonna TRY AND TRY to go mainstream dont tell your fans that your goin to with this album.

Anyway, best of luck Tech, Kutty, SS, Kaliko, and everybody else

I really DO wanna see em make it. Ive been down with tech since gang related/questions. He deserves some shine OUTSIDE the underground. Every album that drops its... "this is the one, the world is gonna know tech n9ne!'' It never happens. I say, if your gonna talk it, back it up. Put up or shut up. Not meant disrespectfully just using that as the expression. If it takes a hot beat or a hot feature to make that REAL hip hop money I think i could swing that. Park the Maybach in the garage and dont insure it for a couple months and WHAMMY theres your hit. That will be the difference in goin gold or platinum compared to running the underground. ALOT bigger paycheck.

I've kinda been a prick this evening maybe i can go get some shut eye and be in a better mood tomorrow. Have a wonderful night fellas.

EDIT- Also Im not sayin tech sell out. Im sayin tech be tech on a mainstream beat with a mainstream feature. The rest of the album tech with ds2, matic, seven, rob and whoever beats. All it takes is one song with these kids out there buyin anything on radio and tv. THATS ALL

P.ellz.

I'm glad after I said tech comes hard on everything he does, you managed to name "city 2 city" as a weak verse..

Out of hundreds and hundreds of tech songs, i'd say you just proved my point.

shut the fuck up.

Why can't we just be patient and let Tech "blow up" on a song by himself with a beat from a non mainstream producer. Regardless of what they say is gonna happen. What do you expect them to say? Lets see "This will be the album that does not crack the mainstream!!!!" Cmon now. Everybody was a no-name producer before they were the hot shit.

The point is they say that every album. If you know its not gonna happen dont even say it. Thats like me sayin the chiefs will win the super bowl every year when i KNOW they wont. Its pointless.

^ They are trying to be optimistic, make the fans want to support it.

I understand that. Its not a big deal if he doesn't blow up, he is putting out solid music and IMO is at the top of his lyricism (eg. Happy Ending & Last Words)

There has been some debate as to what success really is for Tech. Some people think it has to do with mainstream fame. Some people think it is when he starts doing collabs with so called "major" artists and producers. Some people think its when he's a multimillionaire. Has the mission been fully accomplished? Not fully, but pretty goddamn close.

Strange Music has made history in the music business. Real history, it has been recognized briefly by everyone, from Jay-Z to Ice Cube. Venue owners, MTV, you name it. Whether or not it has been a sustained trip in the world's lime light is definitely questionable, but it does not define its success.

Let me give you an entirely different perspective that is a bit more detailed than Tech doing a 7 person show in San Diego.

How about cross country trips in Vans, 3 or four guys sleeping on the floor. Guys like Big Nick, Joe, Kaliko, and Kutt. None of these guys are small guys. Big Nick snores pretty loud too, lol. There was no "extra" money, Krizz wasn't officially signed yet, hell he was still the MC at Satin Dolls, where Big Nick, Joe, and Matt were bouncers. Shit Krizz was still living directly next door to me with his mother in a modest duplex. Strange Music was an extremely small budget venture fueled by guys that really believed in it. There were no guarantees for anyone.

Offices on the west coast, touring on the east coast, merchandise sales, shows overseas.

None of it compares to:

Travis O'guin wanting to have a successful venture into the music business and accomplishing it with an MC that deserved it more than anyone.

Tech N9ne getting what he has always deserved and continually getting more. Having his family taken care of with no worries. Taking care of his fans by never shorting them.

Krizz Kaliko getting a deal, dropping his debut album, taking care of his mother, getting married to the girl he always loved and providing for his new baby.

Kutt Kalhoun dropping an album, taking care of his children, having a full page in the source for advertisement for his sophomore album, and not having to stay in street shit to eat.

Joe Vertigo getting a verse on a nationwide album release (mlk) he has been protecting Tech for a long long time and nobody is more alert than he is.

Big Nick and the fellas starting thier company.

Wives and girlfriends getting a chance to exhale because this turned into what everybody said it would.

Wherever Strange Music goes from here, whether it be to the stars or if it folds tomorrow, success was achieved a long time ago.
GOOD SHIT, KEEP IT REAL!

Hi, I'm "MrDiamond" (nice 80's indy circut wrestler name, buddy) and I open my mouth and let words come out without any concern of my knowledge of the subject.

STFU, dummy.

I remember back in the day when Tech was touring wit Jay-z and Tech was pretty close to buying a pharell beat but that shit was rediculously expensive. if it aint a hit its a supreme waste of dough. Maybe he will make a star out of someone. They all started somewhere.
Oh, a Pharell beat... yay.

Stranges production has always been a hightlight to me... At least 80% of the production on Strange albums stomp all over Pharell's bullshit any day.
