Newsgroups are where all of the lossless cds are USUALLY uploaded first. They are also the ones who pirate the games and high quality movies before they release. They are who originally started this shit back in the day. 99% of the shit on the pirate bay was uploaded from newsgroups.

That 108 mb file is the same Fucking 128kbps rip. Which I can really give a fuck about. It still sounds good enough to bump before the CD comes out.

I'm not trying to be a cunt. Newsgroups isn't where this stuff comes from. All the scene stuff is happening on IRC and they upload releases to FTP servers which are then downloaded and reuploaded to torrents and newsgroups and shit like that.

OK I get what you're getting at. The IRC's that I get on recently are directly related to the newsgroups (ie are the same group running both). You're right though the group's primarily use IRC and then upload to newsgroups, I just find it much easier to navigate newsgroups. Most of the stuff appears same day on newsgroups as IRC. Just takes longer to leak to pirate bay etc.

Could you p.m. a couple of the best IRC you use?

I don't even use IRC. I download most of my stuff from private torrent trackers. Getting into anywhere worth getting into on IRC takes like 100s of GB worth of grouprips to share with everyone else.
