That was entirely a plug. He didn't really discuss the "state of hip hop" or explain his views on how Tech is really different from other rappers out there. Not that I'm compaining...
My sentiments exactly..

Getting the word out for Tech is beautiful.. but how does rap associate with sports.. Would a casual fan listen through the interview when they are trying to listen about sports news??

I would say one big mistake that Tech N9ne made was associated himself with Jesus.. having a comment like that may make listeners with religious beliefs disapear pretty quickly.. I can understand why he said it.. his fgans understand it and it is wonderful that his so honest but comparing himself to Jesus.. I don't know if that was a smart move..

Thanks again for the interview.. nice to hear Tech being heard on the radio..

Jim Rome's show is the largest syndicated sports talk show in the world, he has a legion of fans called the jungle clones, he used to host a show on espn where he kept calling Jim Everett (quarterback for the then los angeles rams), Chris Everett, a female tennis player. Jim Everett then dared him to do it again and he did. Everett turned over the table and went after Rome on tv. Now Rome has a show on ESPN called Rome is Burning where Jason Whitlock frequently guest hosts.

He does every now and then have a guest on that has nothing to do with sports, but he does usually ask for a take from them on a sports topic, before they plug whatever they are pushing at the time.
