Slug hails from minneapolis, of course he'll win. and i agree with disastxr, his new shit is complete garbage and he's lost his talent as a recording artist. sure some of that shit could fly as freestylin, but nothing will match his older stuff like lucy Ford ep. You cant imagine... was a dope ass cd from start to finish though, and that was '06 i think, everything since then has been horrible and without substance.

i still love atmosphere, but i have to agree with this. in the end, if tech or slug win, i will be happy. in all honesty, i think it will come down to those 2 in the end. slug should destroy jay-z (it is minneapolis so he has the home advantage). tech beating lil wayne might be a problem though, but he did beat kanye, so i dont know. I am happy that they are using Caribou Lou for this though. Maybe the video is right around the corner.

just as an idea how big atmosphere is here in minneapolis, at the end of the "You can't imagine how much fun we're having" tour, they had 5 shows scheduled at First Ave (Mon-Fri). EVERY SHOW sold out within hours, so they added 2 more shows for that sat and sunday. those also sold out in a few hours.

I looking forward to "When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold". Shoulda Known is good. Hopefully it will be back on the Godlovesugly/You Can't Imagine level.

its not that i dont believe in tech, i just know the area well, considering ive lived here my entire life. jay-z is popular here, but not enough to beat out slug. wayne on the other hand. EVERY person i talk to damn near says that Wayne is their favorite rapper. if they are basing the winners on call in votes, then tech will have a very tough time, where slug should have it easy, since tech isn't from this area. if it ends up being tech vs slug in the end, slug will get it. tech is known here, but not nearly as much as slug is. atmosphere and tech get about the same amount of exposure on MTV (atmosphere gets a little bit more in all honesty), so it ending with those 2 is enough imo since they would have beaten out people that are overexposed. either way though, its good exposure. tech has a concert here the 29th, so im sure that will get plenty of promotion, and atmosphere has a new CD coming out the 22nd, so that will get good promotion too.

they play a song from each artist i assume, then people call in to vote for who wins, and the winner moves on to the next round. was just listening to B96, and someone called in asking about it. Tech beat Eminem last night. so Tech has knocked off The Game, Eminem, and Kanye. the guy then asked them to play some tech n9ne, and they said they would in the back in the day buffet (i think that is from 12-1).
