Nick is right..
Vertigo is a seperate entity.
We have been talking about doing a artist deal with MSC Entertainment, but it's not a done deal right now.
The way I see it , It don't matter what label your on.. We are All a family of artists..
Tech & Strange have done nothing but help Vertigo the past year by taking us under their wing.
That is why they are helping us with this MSC Deal.

Let's face it... All we ALL want to do is make good music & put Kansas City on the map.

I think that's why Tech puts his voice on other people's tracks.. It's all about giving back.. K.C. LOVE to people he believes in.

What I mean is......these artists can make it on their own without Tech on their albums period.....do you greatly disagree with that or do you think they are that terrible?
I think a good amount of it is terrible. If they can make it on their own then why wouldn't Strange let them?

I think they are all great artists. Look how far that has gotten Tech though. I think you will be hard pressed to find anyone outside of KC who had heard of any of them before hearing them with Tech. Like Makaveli2PAC said ... Tech just gives them the boost they need to get more exposure. But i think we would also have to go back to the stupid debate of what "making it is" to define this. You get what i am sayin? But i do love most of the music that Strange is producing and i wish the artists all the best.

Peace

its cool to have tech featured on most of the stuff, but lets not turn strange music into another No Limit, Cash Money, etc...Both those labels have made it big, but in my opinion they have both fallin off the map. their music is garbage. they use the same production and all they do is feature each other on their cd's, if Strange Musics goal is to be another fad than they are going in the right direction, dont get me wrong i love tech/strange's music. but, i also think that most of the new songs sound similar. if strange music is going to be a label that lasts than i think they should look for outside features and outside production. i bet thats a really difficult thing to do, and i dont have a label so i could be talking outta my ass on this.

just a few pennies throwin into the mix from me

peace

2 Albums have dropped on Strange Music..Anghellic and Absolute Power......the only producer that was on BOTH albums is Ronnz.

Sorry, check that, 5150 had some beats on Absolute Power as well. Strange Music hardly uses the same production for everything. Icy Roc, 5150, Ronnz, Tekneko, Femi, Don Juan...thats plenty of variety for 2 albums......and i think i missed a couple too. Fearing that Strange will turn into a No Limit (talent wise) is something i cannot even fathom.

More outside production and features will come with networking and contacts......which Tech and Strange have obviously done big time within the last year. Just think of all the people they have toured with......Kurupt, Yukmouth/Regime/Luniz, Bone Thugs, Neptunes, Jay Z......the list goes on....not to mention people you meet while on the road and other people in your camp come in contact with.

Tech has said it time and time again......this next album, that he will begin to work on after touring this fall, is going to be the first album in which he's going to be able to do whatever the fuck he wants with whomever the fuck he wants. When he says, "im gonna get timbo, neptunes, etc." I wouldn't doubt him.

It's clear to me that Strange is in this for the long haul, too much time and money and effort has been committed to this company to just let it goto shit. Believe that.

He can do what he wants, he runs the shit... and if the artists dont want him on tracks, then say so.

but i hope he doesnt play himself out like MASTER-PEE
(although we know he wont cuz hes muhfuckin' tech n9ne)

Not at all.... You say they can make it on their own, so why can't they just do it themselves? Put Tech on a track as a feature and that's it. The rest is all them.

Isn't that what this thread was about? You'll have to excuse me for offering my differing opinion, I wasn't aware it would offend you my lord.

With Tech on their albums it will make the Tech fans want to buy their albums.
The people who dig their style will buy it regardless of Tech being on it.
The only down side I see with this, is that they might be seen as Tech's proteges and not real solo artists.
Tech on 2-3 tracks tops should be enough to appease the Tech N9ne fans and keep his appearances on a minimal.

I THINK THE ONLY ONE THAT HAS PROVEN THEY CAN DO IT "WITHOUT" TECH IS GRANT RICE..

I PERSONALLY CANT GET INTO SKATTERMAN...SEEMS LIKE HE IS ALWAYS RAPPIN BOUT THE SAME SHIT ..
SNUG...I THINK HE IS DOPE PERSONALLY...BEEN FEELIN HIM SINCE LONG TIME AGO...

FOR YOU TO TELL US THAT YOU DIDNT MEAN "NON-STRANGE" ARTIST...IS KINDA IGNORANT...BEING THAT ITS HARD TO TELL NOW-ADAYS WHO IS ON STRANGE AND WHO ISNT..

NEITHER HAVE DROPPED A RECORD...BUT "WE" ALWAYS SEE THEM WITH TECH...AT CONCERTS...OR WHAT NOT...
ITS JUST HARD TO TELL...THATS WHY I SAID BG...
I MEAN WHY AINT HE SIGNED TO STRANGE...

OH AND YOU ARE RIGHT...
WE HAVE ONLY HEARD A LITTLE FROM EACH ARTIST...BUT THATS NOT OUR FAULT....PLEASE FORGIVE US FOR OUR IGNORANCE...FOR WE KNOW NOT WHAT WE HAVENT HEARD..

AMEN

OH WELL MY 3 CENTS...
