I never bullshit about money, and thanks for thinking of me as an elder statesman. I am just as fresh to the KC music scene as you, first MoCheez dropped in 1998. The difference between me and most of these cats trying to get paid out here is; i don't rap, make beats, DJ, put out mixtapes, run a studio or have a radio show. Yet, i have eaten off of this LOCAL KC industry/rap shit (more than most) because of "who" i have relationships with and how i conducted my business. May sound dumb to you. But I look at niggaz that's out slanging music hand-to-hand on the street, dropping out of school or quitting good jobs to rap, and neglecting their kids to chase a music dream, as some dumb shit. My dad told me after I came home from UAPB, "You can work hard or you can work smart". I choose to work smart, but don't stop working hard Soul Mutt. My nine year old son loves music, and he's gonna need to be surrounded by hard workers (producers, DJs, promoters, engineers, etc.). I'm gonna let him get in the studio when he turns 12, so you'll see him in about 3 years. Keep up the great work, Mutt.
