Music is obviously subjective but there are certain ways to discuss it objectively. You'll never have a conversation like that here though. On this forum, personal preference counts way more than actual arguments.

Eminem is shit in my opinion. His terrible albums out weigh his GREAT albums. He's one of the most inconsistent artists I've ever heard of. Em puts out some good quality shit at times. But, then he releases something completely off the wall and ridiculous. Never been a big Eminem fan for that exact reason. So, is this "Recovery" album actually good or is this another "Eminem Show"? I want a real response, not a defending Eminem post, please.

Recovery is def. Worth the download. I haven't liked too many of Eminems past few albums but recovery got him back up to one of my top five MC's.

I really like Recovery. It's better than Encore & Relapse IMO. I still think MMLP, SSLP & Eminem Show are better, but it doesn't mean he's not killing every single verse, I just don't like the music as much as his first 3. But he's back on his A game like his first 3, and there are a bunch of really really good songs on here.

Em youtube vids

:cheeky:
Man you know damn well I wasn't talking about every song he did. That wasn't my point at all. I know Em had decent content.

I'm not that naive...

Em can rhyme 50 words in a verse and still not sound as dope as "It's the N-O, T-O, R-I-O... U-S, you just, lay down, slow"... It's just a different vibe.

I suppose it's kind of like saying that Led Zeppelin was the greatest rock band of all time... I'd disagree and say that GNR is the greatest of all time. Then the next dude would say the Stones are the greatest... Or Pink Floyd.

Any GOAT discussion is very much a matter of opinion. I don't care if there's a poll, if Obama did a GOAT census, or if CasperOG made a siccness poll. There can never be a GOAT, because as far as I know, time hasn't ended. If you wanted to stop the clock right now and take a poll... just because my guy didn't win, doesn't mean it will change my perspective on who's dope and who's not.

If my opinion loses, I'll just assume that the majority of the voters are mentally handicapped.

This is another example of when a guy does something good for himself, you guys immediately dismiss his whole career.

Eminem is dope. Period. I'm not a fan of the direction of his music recently but one verse of his is usually better than a whole album of anyone else's.
