Come on, keep it real. Boxing's BEEN fucked up for a LONG ASS time. Anyway, Tyson would eat that fool alive. Roy Jones IS a good boxer, yes, BUT, he ain't EVER, EVER challenged a good oponent. He stayed in his weak ass weight class fightin ex- firefighters/garbagemen/part-time boxers and shit. That fool ain't EVER fought a fighter that could whoop his ass. Then he moves on to a heavier weight and you know he WON'T fight Lewis or any other fighter that would whoop his ass. That's why he'll never get the respect he craves so much. Tyson, Lewis, shit, even Tua would probably kill that fool. You seen when he fought that piece of shit Ruiz, he hit Ruiz with all his power and didn't faze him ONCE. So, if that fool can't hurt Ruiz, you KNOW he can't hurt a Mike Tyson or a Lennox Lewis. I hope Tarver rematches his ass and knocks him the fuck out.

me personally i think RJJ won the fight, the ONLY time Tarver ever hit him is when RJJ would voluntarilly go into the corner and let Tarver hit him, and that wasnt very often, i had it 116-112 (8 rounds to 4) but oh well, like Rjj said you cant win by puching in for 30 seconds (and missing more than half od the puches i may add).
this was a close fight by RJJ standards but he still won it.

also although Tarver didnt appear to want to win the fight by not pressing and attacking he did enough to and got the crowd on his side enough to demand some other big time fights. he did leave the night beaten but more valuable then when he arrived

SHIT cmon Tarver beat Jones now thats a bunch of bullshit. Tarver was tha champ in this match and didn't do a god damn thing after tha first two rounds. He got beat by a guy who lost 25 lbs. in 6 weeks and wasn't a 100%. Don't get me wrong it was a close fight and I have never seen someone hit Jones like Tarver did, but Tarver win thats bull. Tarver talked so much shit before tha fight I thought he wanted to fight, but it looked like he just wanted a payday. Look at tha fight agian and this time open your fucking eyes SHIT. LATE
Yall must aint seen the fight I saw... Jones beat Tarver. Tarver only could hit Jones when he was up against the ropes out of breath. Now I gave Tarver the first 2 rounds because he deserved them. He fought the entire rounds.But Jones always kept him at bay every other round except towards the end of rounds when he tried to conserve enregy and allow Tarver to throw punches. Even when Jones was up against the ropes dead tire, not all of them shots hit em. But Jones was dumb for taking that fight in the condition he was in. His ego almost put him in a position to get knocked out. He clearly was not the same Jones after stripping his body of 24 pounds of muscle. For the technically inclined, Stripping 24 pounds of muscle is different than losing 24 pounds of fat. This guy weighed nearly 200 with very little body fat, and lost 24 pounds, that's like controlled anorexia, you could die from that type of shit losing that type of weight in 6 weeks. He was tired from the first round on. Now tell the truth, when have you seen Jones ever too tired and exhausted to fight a 12 rounder?? Never. He was whoopin on Tarvers ribs, and then ran out of steam completley in the last couple of rounds after throwin all them power punches. Tarver gave him a good fight, but never could beat a well prepared Jones. Of course he could hang with a Jones in lousy shape. Anybody can. If anything Jones showed he is the best fighter bar none by even taking the fight knowing he would be losing alot. He took a fight against a well prepared Tarver, and still won. Just my opinion. Hopefully I stated enough facts to back up why he won. Nobody has to agree with me, it's just how I saw it. Very close fight.

For those who thought Roy won, yes Tarver was only effective when Roy was against the ropes. But you saw punch stat numbers, Tarver landed more punches. Which goes to show that his spurts were the equalizers of the round. Yes Roy controlled some of those rounds until Tarver would corner him and land more or the same ammount of punches Roy would land in the entire round. Roy didn't do anything effective in the fight. His pitty patt punches were to far in between to call it control.
Thus I saw the fight even.
But in the end of the day, Roy's face displayed the ass whoopin he recieved....
Oh yeah and you best believe Roy's always gonna have his hands full with Tarver. Roy's style plays into Tarver's style. If only Tarver would've been more agressive, it would've been the difference between a decision and a knock out.
