There's more important things than just having the correct patch (Any sawtooth patch with some portamento will work).

Paul can teach you enunciation and a few melodies, which is the real key to talkboxing.
i

I wanna argue this(though I could be wrong)
Ive used the dx100 with the old parmters changed-I thought worked good(but still thought I was missing something,
Ive tried the rs7000,triton,motif,proteus2000,none was close to my dx100(just me and my same skill level)
I even tried it with the moog voyager I had no still wasnt close
I tried with the jp8000 still not close
Mind you I didnt get in the guts of these other machines I just flipped through all pre-sets and tweaked a few knobs.
Now today I have the tx81z and new patch, my search is over, practice is all Ill ever need, and I was told with my dx100 I was better then alot who did it for years(what was he thinkin, shit I knew better)
I mean you can talkbox with alot of patches, but whoever is doin hip hop and r&b are really after the roger sound, not the peter frampton
so in closing from a guy who understands practice is very important, i feel that patch is the real key, any tips or experiences Id still like to hear it,

I'm glad all you guys are happy with the information I laid on you about the whole talkbox thing. See what a little knowledge can do... just remember to always PRACTICE which is KEY in sounding your best with the talkbox.
