Dog, you are crazy for that 1. but yes its tru my mom moved from seattle to tacoma in 1985, and then after my first year in high school i moved back to seattle...... i don't know how much cat's know about tacoma but they got hip hop history.the rap/break dancers name high performance out of tacoma, beat the New York City Breakers for the world breakin title in the late 80's in the tacoma dome. That's rt tacoma's has the World Breakin Title To this day!!! Also high performanc & Criminal nation/ Dcp had a record deal with Nastymix record, the same lable that put mix a lot's first releases out. and they sold 60 t0 100.000 records..... look that shit up if you think i'm lying. Cat's that's the problem with hip hop today nigga s need to search and respect the artist and history befo you go trying to disrespect the cat's that laid the road. OG Freeze/ GQ james/Rap Brown/ T-Town Crew/ Casanova Crew/ DCP/High Performance/Goldie, not to mention she was the first female rapper who joind NWA's lable, and ask to be release because they was taking to long to put her out.Tacoma had some of the best house party's in the world.and back then tacom'a looked up to seattle and came out to fuck with us alot. you would always see tacoma cat's in seattle @ the Mix alot & Nasty Nes partys, the event was called the seattle city dance, everybody that had anythang to do with hip hop in the northwest would come out to break or rap against eachother, was no hate back then, niggas had love and respect for eachother.....

What always amazes me about Tacoma is how integrated it is, you got the rich part up north by the water & Stadium HS but then aside from that, the rest of the city is roughly economically & racially even.

It is NOT like that up in Seattle.

As far as rap, my favorites are Mr. D.O.G., Mac Money, Factor, Black Anger, The Enterprise, OG Freeze, Azarel & Criminal Nation.

first party I ever went to was a Kutchrome party.. and that was Sonny Bonoho's first nickname.. first studio I been to was Black Diamond, first local cd I ever had was Felony Ent. "Welcome To My City".. Tacoma has it's high and low points, but for the most part, we here to stay..
