Same ol. You know, can’t call it. Holdin’ it down. Working on a new album, Defcon 1. New album in stores hopefully like November 15th. For those who don’t know Conspiracy Theory is out in stores. That’s the first release from T-Rock, which is myself.
What’s the story behind the name Defcon 1?
Defcon 1. For those who don’t know, the definition of Defcon 1 is like, for example, with the twin towers. When the planes ran into the twin towers America went into Defcon 1. That’s battle mode once you’ve been violated. And in this rap game I’ve been violated. ATL has been violated by these devilish outsiders, so now it’s Defcon 1.
Could you elaborate on that some more? Who did the violating?
Everybody know who did the violating. DJ Small Arm and Juicy Judy Gay! The Triple Bitch Mafia. Everybody know who did the violating. They violated the town, they violated me. They came down here and dissed me on the radio! For those who don’t know, but you know, them bitches ain’t said nothin’. Small arm niggas and gay wrasslas can’t fade the real. Simple and plain. They did the violating. They wanna talk slick on records, so I’m taking it upon myself, I’m callin’ everybody out. I’m exposing the snakes of the rap game.
We see you don’t like ‘em. What happened with y’all? Was there a big falling out? You leave them? They said they kicked you out.
Yeah! I heard they kicked me out. How could I get kicked out of a slave trade? You gotta leave a slave trade to flee from a slave trade. That’s what I did. I left. It wasn’t nothin’ but snakes left. All the real niggas are the niggas who not there no more. They were all gone. I saw wasn’t nothing but dick ridaz left, so I left. You know independence is the way. It was like, people always ask “well, what did they do?” What did they do? What didn’t they do? Everything was wrong. I can’t name not one thang they did right, except put my name on a record and give me recognition.
Speaking of the niggas that left, I see y’all bring back Prophet Posse. How did y’all hook that up?
Prophet Posse. We got a Prophet Posse album coming out. That’s all the members formerly of Hypnotize Camp Posse or Prophet Entertainment. We used to all be down, we all left. No DJ Paul, no DJ Small Arm. No Juicy Gay. All the real niggas. We got me, Indo G, MC Mack, Scan Man, Nicki Scarfo, K-Rock, even Gangsta Boo. Man…I even heard Crunchy Blac made an appearance on the album, which has really got me bothered, but you know it’s all about that paper. It was love from the jump but all the real niggas is there so it’s a real interesting album. We got production from DJ Squeeky, one of Memphis’ fiest producers ever. He produced my solo cut. It’s gon’ be a hard project. Real interesting.
What other projects do you have coming up after that?
A new album after Defcon I. Clear and Present Danger will be next. That’ll be the next solo release. We just gon’ keep it coming. We got the Executive Squad, that’s everyone from Secret Service Inc…I got my own label, Area 51 Records. Releases coming up from Area 51 Records….I got a group called the Politics. Which is me, my play sister Infared, a supreme female lyricist, and Remy X-O. We a trio not to be fucked with. Wylecat coming out under Secret Service. We got Adonis, Certified Specialist, which is a producer/rapper who’s not to be fucked with in the rap game. Everybody wanna ask who the best female in the rap game. This, that, and the other. I don’t even like to have no conversations cause ain’t none of the females in the rap game talkin’ bout nothing. I know two of the dopest females ever. Infared and Adonis. Certified Specialist, that’s a female Dr. Dre.
You got any last words for your fans?
I praise GOD for all my fans that kept it real through the Three 6 ordeal. Everybody who still waiting on Rock Solid, I’m sorry to disappoint y’all, Rock Solid never came out, but you know T-Rock is still holdin it down. I’ma keep comin with records. I’m just glad y’all keep buying my shit in spite of me being with or without Three 6. Recognizing lyrics is what’s gonna make me and not they beats. Continue to hold it down. I’m gonna keep providing supreme music for y’all and we gonna bring Rock Solid out for those who really wanted it. It’s coming soon so….be on the lookout. A-Town!!!!!!!!
