That’s the name Atlanta’s star quarterback apparently used as an alias when dating a woman he allegedly infected with herpes. The woman filed a civil lawsuit last month and since Vick’s pseudonym surfaced on Internet sites, orders for Falcons No. 7 jerseys with "Mexico’’ on the nameplate have spread like . . . well, they’ve become quite popular.
But the NFL’s online store is now immune to the situation. Spokesman Brian McCarthy told The Associated Press the NFL Shop — which has more than 1,300 words that can’t be printed on a jersey — has added Mexico to that list.
By the way, you can’t get "Herpes’’ on a Falcons jersey either.
