I dont know what you guys are saying that people in LA and southeners dont bump Woodie or Darkroom. The first time i heard Woodies Yoc Influenced cd was from my prima, and shes into all the scrap south land thing. Ive also been to san diego and they hella sell Norteno and East Bay Rap. Then out here in Vegas the only places where you can buy Norteno and East Bay rap are places like North Las Vegas, East Las Vegas and Henderson all places over run by scraps.

Any one know if that Legandz CD by OSO & K.I.D is out yet?

That shits GARBAGE!! I went to Surenorap.com and califasrap.com and listened to some samples and was amazed at how little talent these fools have. It seems that their stuck in the past, rapping over oldies beats like thats still cool.

Ill admit there are some good legitimate southern rappers like Shadow, Knightowl, Clicka 1, but then you got these other guys like Mister D, Mr Capone E, Lil Vato, Creeper, Ese Lil Joker, Lil Thumper, Dreamer, etc etc jacking oldies beat after oldies beat and putting all 13s over their cd covers so surenos will buy there shit.

They have no good rappers. Period. Back when latinos first started rapping, yea, it was koo to rap over some oldies. Then it got old. We moved on to a new era and yea those putos is stuck within the past in those pachuco years or sumptin'. Most skraps are wannabes who come straight from Mexico. Mutha fuckaz kick it here and there with a few skraps, so they're thinking, hey, this is cool......and they join in on the skrap fad. How do I know? Because I got several skrap cousins and when it comes to family events or party's.........it's a straight doggin' dog world coming from them. They dog the shit out of me until I get irritated and slap'em. That's how shit goes. But quote me on this, there ain't no good skrap rapper. I hate skraps with a passion. I hate flue with a passion. The only flue I be liking to see everyday is when I look up towards the sky. That's 'bout it. I'm out this mug......:cool:

Southern Chicano rap wasn't giving a fuck about #13 or the word Sur much until Nortenos stressed their 14 XIV CATORCE X4 NORTE RED RAG SCRAP KILLA this n that on GUN and Cuete. It seems to be more of an issue in the music now because the fools down here are starting to realize that this gang thing is statewide and not just in their backyards so they want something to identify with even if they are ~A N Y T H I N G~ but "united" down here LOL!!!. One thing that doesn't seem to be a big deal with most LA/OC/IE cholos is the color blue; but who knows in a few years.

And what "skraps" rap?? There are Sureno rappers from LA/OC/IE/SD, but what "skraps" from N. CA rap?

There's a difference and if you don't know that, you're in for a big surprise..

@ridbone
your trippin. Because your claiming Norte your biased to anything thats Sur related. But then again alot of youngsters sound like you. I mean, you hate all blue except the sky? so you dont wear blue jeans? you see some white and blue jordans and all of sudden you feel hate building up inside you. then about the surenos being straight from mexico, thats not true because all the surenos ive seen in LA are all chicano.

But I will agree with you that the majority of chicano rap or "sureno rap" sounds like there stuck in the pachuco years or in an American Me movie.

@ Jose:

I don't like Jordan shoes. Most of them have ugly design. All I sport are white, black, red Lugz, Nike Cortezes......or whatever looks tight to me. I don't wear no other colored pants but white, black, red. So you're right, I don't wear no flue period. But, I tell you like this....everything started with "La M". It was an alliance for all mexicans who felt descriminated. Then, mutha fuckaz made all about the barrios and territorys so La M split into 2. One being the side for all Northerners being Northern CA. One being for southerners being southern CA. After the break up, the Northerners first adopted the red rag and adopted the number 14 to represent the letter N (stands for Norte and the letter N is also the 14th letter in the alphabet). So, the skraps decided to copy us so they decided to adopt an oposite color which was flue. I know the whole history homie. I just won't go into details. If you want to know more, go look it up in an encyclopedia or the internet or sumptin'. I'm tired of typing alot. I'm out this mug......

Actually, sorry but the Blue rag was the first choice and that was what the Southerners picked Rid, you got your lines crossed. The "M" was around for at least 10 years before their northern rivals began to seek power so there was no one to copy and no opposite color to adopt for Southerners. The 13 stands for M not ~SOUTH~ or ~EAST~ or ~LA~, but it is now identified as being a representation of the SUR and everything relating to it. The number thing was first a Southern thing too. Naturally, the next number up is 14 and it just happens to be N numerically so it became something Northsiders could identify with and distinguish themselves from Southerners with. Also, the "M" wasn't really composed of Southerners AND Northerners to begin with, though one of the writers of the constitution for the North was a dropout from the "M". The "M" was basically all Southern Californian to begin with, it had been that way for like 10 years and then the ostracized Northerners began to seek power in the late 60's (supposedly first in Soledad). The "M" actually began because LA Chicanos were tired of being messed with by Black inmates in particular and that's why to this day the "M" is basically racist as hell against them and sides with White fools. I feel uncomfortable talking about this shit because we really shouldn't speak on these higher powers, but I just wanted to give my 2 cents.

@Leader and Rid both of you have your stories kind of twisted. The conflict occured at San Quinton....but do any of you know what the conflict was?

Damn, wouldn't that suck to have to worry about your own gang killing you? I'm glad we have it like we do

does anyone know what hoods rappers like knightowl, lil rob, mr. shadow are from?
