See that's the problem with Bay Area artist- They drop a single but lag on dropping the album. For example, The Federation dropped Hyphy and Hoes in Here but then the album took too long to drop and both songs got played out. The you have The Frontline with What is it and that album took some time to drop too.

yea IMO its all just bad politics and promotion. If people from the bay wanted to blow up they would handle their business better. If Keak wants to blow up he will drop a video for that song which probly would see the light of day since he's gettin spins all over California, Vegas, Mexico, etc. and then rush that album out to copp some cash for his hard work...am I missin something?

It can workout if you drop a single and let it linger and create a buzz outside your region. Just look at "still tipppin' by Mike jones. That song came out last summmer but took hella long to blow nationally and it worked for him. It all depends on how much effort you put into keeping the buzz for your single. if keak makes all the moves he can to get it spread throught out the country and then release that video he'll be coo. But if not it'll just be another "hyphy" alll over again.

there's no way he would get played on something mainstream like mtv. most people can't even understand him. look at all the socalled "hot" rappers right now, they just rap hella slow and simple every word...and also the whole "hyphy" sound ain't catchin on any time soon...
