The last fight was pay per view... and it's very rare to see a heavyweight championship fight on a channel other than HBO, Showtime, or Pay per view.

Just a reminder this fight is this saturday, a week before Holyfield's 45th birthday, in case anyone cares.

Last I heard this IS a Pay Per View event, unfortunately.

Lennox Lewis Fears For Holyfield's Health

By Mark Vester

This coming Saturday, former four-time heavyweight Evander Holyfield will go for his fifth title when he travels across the ocean to Russia to challenge undefeated WBO heavyweight champion Sultan Ibragimov at Moscow's Ice Palace.

Former undisputed heavyweight champion Lennox, during an interview with The Independent, explained why Holyfield continues to fight and why he continues to stay retired. Lewis fears that the 44-year-old Holyfield is going to end up getting seriously hurt if he continues to fight.

"Evander's problem," Lewis said, "is he misses the glory. I don't. I am sure he has people around him who are telling him he can still do it. You can always find yes men who tell you what you want to hear. They are getting paid – and you're the one who's getting damaged. Evander is an old fighter past his prime and taking serious chances with his health."

Emanuel Steward, one of Holyfield's former trainers, says that it's Holyfield's ego that keeps him going.

"Here is a man seriously deluded by ambition. Emanuel Steward said "I have never met anyone with an ego like his. It drives him on."

With that being said... Evander will pull it off. He's my favorite fighter off all time and I've been wrong lately with these boxing predictions (Pavlik vs Taylor and Barrera vs Pacman) so Holyfield is going to bail me out of my slump. Holyfield by UD.

Damn Holyfield weight in at 211.5... He must be in pretty good shape. He usually weights a little heavier. Holyfield is going to pull off the upset.

He probably wants to be a lil faster so he could get his punches off too... Holyfield usually rises when people starts doubting him. We'll see what happens.
