Just go to musiciansfriend.com or marsmusic.com and check em' out. The mic can only get but so clear, so the price aint too much of a difference, its the trackboards, DAT machines, compressors, etc.

the mic makes all the difference...

i've messed around with 300 dollar mics...500 dollar mics...1000 dollar mics...2000 dollar mics...they all show a big difference

Mic quality is extremely important as well as the quality of the pre-amp the mic signal is running through.

Understand this.. A quality pre-amp CAN NOT make a shit mic sound good. A quality mic WILL NOT sound good thru a shit pre-amp. This is non-negotiable.

my studio set up is gonna be a Baby Bottle Blue mic...digi 002...and i need to get a preamp...which should i go for?
