glad ronda won, now if she works on her standup she will be champ for a long time...
If they ever reinstate Cyborg, I think she would still smash on Rousey. I am so pissed that she got caught using performance enhancing drugs because this would be a hellavu fight. Got Em!!

Ronda got some serious ground skills. she put on a clinic on the mat. also that ref seemed like an idiot anyway when he started the fight but again tate didnt tap so whats he suppose to do. imagine if they pulled cerrone off bendo for not tapping, some people just have that threshold no1 has so IMO it's good it wasnt stopped until the tap.

i loved at the end when rowdy said she wasnt sorry for breaking it hahaha, that was ill.

'Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey' salaries: Souza, Thomson lead $543K payroll

Former champs Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza ($92,000) and Josh Thomson ($80,000) took home the biggest paydays at this past weekend's "Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey" event.

Headliners Miesha Tate ($19,000) and Ronda Rousey ($32,000) lagged behind on the event's payroll, which totaled $543,500.

MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) today requested and received the list of official disclosed paydays from the Ohio Athletic Commission.

"Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey" took place this past Saturday, March 3, at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. The event's main card aired live on Showtime while preliminary-card fights aired on Showtime Extreme.

The headliner saw the women's bantamweight title change hands when Rousey continued her streak of first-round armbars submission by forcing a tap-out from Tate.

The full "Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey" paydays included:

Ronda Rousey: $32,000 (includes $17,000 win bonus)
def. Miesha Tate: $19,000

Josh Thomson: $80,000 (no win bonus)
def. K.J. Noons: $38,000

Kazuo Misaki: $50,000 (no win bonus)
def. Paul Daley: $45,000

Lumumba Sayers: $10,000 (includes $5,000 win bonus)
Scott Smith: $65,000

Ronaldo Souza: $92,000 (includes $22,000) win bonus)

Roger Bowling: $16,000 (includes $8,000 win bonus)

def. Carlos Fodor: $12,000

Ryan Couture: $10,000 (no win bonus)
def. Conor Heun: $8,000

Now, the usual disclaimer: The figures do not include deductions for items such as insurance, licenses and taxes. Additionally, the figures do not include money paid by sponsors, which can oftentimes be a substantial portion of a fighter's income. They also do not include any other "locker room" or special bonuses Zuffa, LLC oftentimes pays.

In other words, the above figures are simply base salaries reported to the commission and do not reflect entire compensation packages for the event.

kinda sucks the 2 chicks that sold this whole event got paid shit.

As hot as Miesha Tate is and as bad as I felt her shit got broken i'm glad Ronda broke her shit. Sends a message to the audience that these bitches aint playing. You will pay the same price a guy would if he didn't tap. Ronda gained another fan on saturday! The shitty part about WMMA is that the talent pool is SO shallow.
