I don't want to defend KJ, but he was in the middle of the motion when he threw it. Sometimes your brain decides to throw a punch, the bell rings and you're in the middle of the motion of throwing the punch. I'm not sure the illegal knee landed either. Both were definitely not legal tho.

It was all in the heat of battle(during in the end of the 1st Rd),but the knee was clearly illegal.I think the end result would of been the same.(KJ did look at the ref like "You want me to keep landing look")
KJ vs Diaz hopefully is next.
