I see some of you saying the same thing I thought about this fight..

Rogers will lose by submission...but if he can keep Fedor on his feet, I think Rogers might have a chance at knocking him out.......

If Fedor loses he'll probably fight the loser, and I'd hope Strikeforce brought Aleks in to avenge his brother and set up The Grim Reaper vs. The Grim lol

If they do bring Aleksander in which I doubt I think he needs to avenge his loss to Werdum first. Aleksander's next fight will be in The FMC agianst Blagoi Ivanov. But Brett Rogers vs Aleksander would be a great fight.

I'm surprised Strikeforce booked this fight so quick. I think Fedor would have to get Rogers on the ground ASAP. If he trys to bang with him he might fuck around and get knocked out for the first time.

Rogers is still a developing fighter. Would rather see him fight a few more contenders/lower top 10 ranked guys but a loss to Fedor shouldn't hurt his career that bad. I thought a fight with Overeem or Werdum would be the next logical step in his career ..

Sadly Rogers probably has the most name recognition to the casual fan right now so Strikeforce probably figures he can afford to lose to Fedor once they hype him up as the best fighter in the world. If he fought Werdum or Roger Gracie it'd be similar to this fight in that he'd only win by KO, or he'd get raped on the ground. Him against Overeem would be good, too bad Overeem doesn't give a shit about defending the title. Personally I wanted to see him fight Gilbert Yvel, that could be a slugfest of the year contender.

My thoughts is fedor should stop bein a pussy and fight in the ufc if he truely wants to seal his legacy...or else it's just "fedor would had done this" or "would had done that to so and so" he kinda a bitch right now in my eyes...

One thing that worries me about this fight is Fedor always beats people at their own strength, and for Rogers that's going to be his standup.

That's what I was about to say.. I'm pickin it to be a "Tim Sylvia" fight.. Fedor's gonna run up and rock him.. at his own game.

I like this fight. I was kinda bummed that we didn't get to see Fedor-Brock right away, but I think if they both continue to win, it will be a fight that has to get made.


I hope this stays as a standup fight, because that's the only place where I see any possible threat from Rogers. I know Fedor has a good chin, but a guy that big and strong, with all that leverage behind the shots is enough to put down just about anyone.

yea fedor i dont think is scared of nobody,ur trippin if u think that,..the ufc thing was about co promotion but dana wasnt having it and supposibly he couldnt use all his skills in the octogon so he was like fuk that ,..but yea,...fedor will knock brocks block of his shoulders!.....dude is just a beast in the mma game!....and he can take punches like its nothing!...brock would get his ass handed to him!

funny thing is during that M1 breakthrough on hdnet schiavello made a point of saying everyone wanted to see fedor fight brock next, but brock wouldnt last one round with fedor. even if that might be true, you cant tell me that rogers would be more likely to last a round with fedor.
