I'm a motivator when it comes to Best Buy employee's.

I was in one last week and the dude was flirting with one of the cashier girls. I skipped right over the cockblock and told him to get his ass over to my area and help me find a dvd I was looking for.

I've worked department store retail for about 4 years of my working career, and I don't take lightly a dude trying to get his mac on when he's supposed to be helping folks find their stuff efficiently.

At best buy itll be next to the cds where all the concert dvds are at. I almost walked out of there thinking they didnt have it but I remembered that little section by the cds and BLAM it was there.

Well i went on the computer you can search to see if the dvd is in stock at that store, not in there warehouse either, then I searhed to see if they had if they had it at the other Best Buy in Honolulu. Nope no dvd so I ordered it.

Hows that fucked up? The person gets payed to be helpful to the clientel. I cant stand lazy employees. Especially when the fact your in need of assistance is more obvious than Jeds beard.

if he's a young cat making a wage that can barely cover gas i'd be mackin too! gotta get that chick to pay your way, most dudes at best buy in my area are fuckin useless any damn ways and have less knowledge of the store and where to find what im looking for than me, so generally i leave them alone, cause i dont get paid enough for them ro take me in circles and waste my time. i figure if i cant find what im looking for there in 10 minutes of entrance than chances are they dont have it and i leave it at that

That's a lame way to think about it.

Part of why they get paid is customer service.
If something's out, and I think they have it, I'll request them to go to the back.

It's their job. It's WHY they make ANY money.

Call me old school, but in working retail you ought to be able to at least talk to someone without drooling on yourself and have basic knowledge of the products in your area.

I worked at a Belk with a 79,000sq.ft. floor plan and I knew at least a little about every area of the store, so I wouldn't look like a tool when somebody asked me for help.

The more I think about it, the more I realize I am actually old school. And as AJ says, "I don't like waterheads".

I remember when I was in the US and I went to Subway and a Mexican woman at the counter made me wait while she finished her phone call before she even debated serving me which lasted about 2 or 3 minutes.. didn't help that when I started ordering they couldn't really understand me ahaha

That was some of the poorest service I have ever been given.. was wondering if that was a once off occurence I was just privy to or is that normal for fast food chains?

Bahaha.. I asked for capsicums.. but that got me a big what the fuck?!? Capsicums are what they call peppers/bell peppers so that made the wait longer and the cheese was odd.. it was grated instead of being in slices, not particularly accustomed to it.. *shrugs*

And although I'm usually happy 99% of the time with most fast food places, Subway can suck my beezles. I went in there one time (in my area all Subways are run by people of Middle Eastern descent) and ordered a BLT with heavy bacon. The dude stared at me and proceeded to point at every fucking ingredient, which is what... 20 of them?

A BLfuckinT? You can't figure that one out?

Fuck a Subway when you can go to a Quiznos, get food that's 10 times better and be served by people who speak English.

That doesn't happen often, although it has happened to me.

Chick was on her phone for a couple minutes, and I was like

"Okay..." and then snapped my fingers in her face.
And she got all pissy and yelled at me.

And I got her fired AND got a free meal.

Yeah we don't have Taco Bell or Quiznos (pretty sure) here either.. shit tripped me out for meals for .79, .89 and .99 cents.. Taco Bell isn't anything spetacular.. I hate the fact you get your money right but don't take into account they put tax on top.. put the right fuckun' price on display!
