One location Carlos of C-4 Records had was cool. It was HUGE and they had his Dj Set-Up going at all times, there was a Recording Studio set up in the back. It had alot of older BAY AREA titles that you can't find anymore. He had one Whole Entire Rack of old Black Market Records material.

He would also have alot of Autograph Signings there and would bring out alot of big BAY AREA talent. Some of the talent wouldn't take it serious and would show up late and miss tons of fans that had been waiting there to see them for hours. Carlos really tried.
is that c-4 store ever gonna open back up?

you know, that store kinda reminds me of a store i constantly and practically lived in called cues records. imo, cues was the best bay area store to this day. it only lasted 5 years or so but in that time, he had that shit poppin off hard. i use to cut school not go to school just to be up in there because hella bay artists and random artists from other places always stopped thru. autograph signings and raw performances. the djing too. that store was hella fun but it closed up in the late 90's. if he had held on till 2001 or somethin i bet he would of went real big wit it. also, what i liked about cues is that unlike some other mom and pop stores which i won't name, when you walk in there, it's very welcomin and they REALLY try to get you to buy stuff. they don't just sit behind the counter bullshittin. you walk in cues, you're gonna walk out with somethin because the person in there is gonna tell you about the latest stuff, what you missed that came out and all that. it's like an artist on foot tryna sell you an cd hand to hand except in the store cuz they'll hand you the cd or tape and most times you were gonna buy it after they give out the info or whatever they knew about it. cues was the only place to ever do that cuz when i went to the other spots they don't do shit.

I remember KV's, Cognac had most of our inventory form a shop we had called Valley music... But we arent going to just have cs's we gonna have a lil of everything...Energy drinks, clothing, Mixtape printing, Graphic design and flyer printing, a lil of everything, plus new and older cds and dvds... Plus we will have Special events and autograph signings and it will be the valley office for Boss Status Magazine... We wont be going anywhere for a while. We should be up and running by the 25th of this month!

on another note you bay niggaz need 2 give stockton more love insread of giving props 2 the bay and sac...stockton has always supported bay and sac music,in return we get shown NO LOVE what so ever like we dont fuckin exist out here or something.this city put alot of money in yall pockets and we cant even get a fuckin shot out from none of yall??? the only bay artist i heard give it up 2 us were the hoodstars on the gorilla pits demolition men mixtape track 3...
This is very, very true. Bay rap & Sac rap sells really good in Stockton & throughout the entire Valley but Sac & the Bay don't really show no love back. There do be a lil funk here & there between Sac & Stockton but I know for a fact the music sells really good out there. Bay cats I see be dissing Stockton & a lot of the times it be on some just plain hating ass shit. And the Bay niggas that do diss are not even in a rellivent circle. It be some sucka ass niggas from the Bay & I love Sac music but Sac streets is overratted. I meet Sac niggas that act like they running shit but hal them just be on the Bays dick. But on some music shit I do think Stockton needs to step up there talent. The music out there sint crackin like that but the Bay could atleast give it up to Stockton or even Modesto.

Whenever I meet somebody that gives it up 2 Stockton its somebody that's really deep in the streets & move around a lot in these streets or a nigga that did time in the pen.

im the type of cat that will only buy a cd if it has artwork and its wrapped.not some cat tryin 2 bubble of a 15$ 100 pack of cdrs chargin $5 each.if i see that its sealed an official i know the rapper put his time and effort into the project instead of some1 trying to hustle me..
U make another good ass point. If a nigga step 2 me with a CD & its on a cdr.....FORGET ABOUT IT!!! U just lost a potential sale off top.

What kills me is when they try to con me & tell me that they just sold 500 hundred copys already.
Here's what I tell them...
Now let's do the math. 500 CD's @ 5 bucks a pop eqauls 2500$. U mean 2 tell me with that 2500$ u couldn't pay for a photo, artwork & getting ur CD's pressed up @ Disc Makers or somebody & presenting it more professionally.

When I say that shit I get them everytime..
I also notice the people who do buy those are just buying it to get the rapper out they face. Pity sales don't eqaul a new fan. They be trying to hustle the public before they even get any real fans. I don't even give them dudes the time.
Plus all of my CD's are original. No cdrs or bootlegs so there shit won't fit in my collection.

Willie Hines the owner at Replay Records said that the posts on the siccness.net have improved his rap music awareness and he wanted to THANK everyone from the siccness.net that has been coming in within the past few days.

I also saw that the catz that put out "THE BAY IS LIVE" project were in there and got their cd within the store. I have been seeing these catz stuff everywhere. They are really promoting heavy. Keep it going strong guyz.
