i took 6 years of spanish in school only to learn that everything i was taught was wrong. the boys at work are constantly correcting me and telling me the right way to say things. learned more at work than i ever did in school

They teach standard/official Spanish (Castellano) , the fact there are slight variations (ie. tuteo vs. voseo), accents and different sayings is something else according to each country is something else.

Well no shit it originated in Spain. That doesn't make it correct though, there are just different variations among the many Spanish speaking countries of the world. And Latin American Spanish doesn't exist, just to let you know. Most countries in Latin America have distinct accents, words, and dialects of Spanish that are very different; for example, Mexico and Puerto Rico. Furthermore, even in different parts of Mexico, the accents and way of speaking Spanish may vary.

I actually feel kinda bad cause I kinda set it off. Then again that dumb bitch used to talk like the cookie monster. I used to stress cause we really aint had no females on this sausage fest ass shit...but now I see why. We go hard online out here....LOL.
