^^^ i've met a chinese and black sureno before. i also grew up with a black homeboy who ran with an asian crip gang.
about latinos "hating" blacks: yes, i have friends who have grown to hate black folks, but it's not just a random thing that happens, i guess the anger/frustration has built up over the years. i stay out in hunter's point (in san francisco) and i've been disrespected by blacks and we've gotten into it, but it's never been anything serious where i feel my life is threatened; nor would i want to threaten theirs. i don't know what causes the disrespect but the shit seems random because i'm sure if i knew them, they wouldn't try to start shit, but since i DON'T know them, they wanna test or something. i try to teach my boys better, though, 'cause when we get to the core of the situation, both latinos and blacks are liable to get locked up or shot up by the police force.
and i'm pretty sure nortenos fight with other nortenos, too, not just surenos. shit, i'm sure crips beef with crips and bloods funk with bloods. i guess it's more of a territorial thing. the color (blue/red) is a factor, but the territory is even more important cause that's your block/hood/street.
oh yeah, about the shit being a race war, i think somebody's trying to play latinos/blacks for fools because it that were the case, southern california would be a war zone. it's already a war zone, but it would be more amplified.
