So I have been listening to quite a few southern rock bands (newer bands not older) like;

He is Legend
Maylene and the Sons of Disaster (both them and He is Legend are like metal/southern rock hybrids)
Kings of Leon (mixes Garage rock and southern)
My Morning Jacket (mixes "indie" rock and southern)

Can anyone recommened some newer Southern Rock bands along the lines of those four bands to check out? I like stuff that isn't just plain Southern Rock but a mixture.

Thanks in advance

I like a lot of stuff that I can't understand the lead singer/screamer lol. This isn't one of them...It sounds like they put a effect on his voice which I'm not digging at all. The actual music from the band is pretty good I have to say. The lead singer/screamer just kills it for me though.

Thanks for the link anyways bro.

I feel you DNI, it's all good. Different strokes for different folks. I like a lot of sludge metal too...I already know about and am a fan of Eyehategod and Corrosion of Conformity. Never heard of the other two, I'll check them out. Thanks once again.

Whoa someone mentioned Sludge on here. I was going to see Maylene and the Sons of Disaster a while back, don't remember why I didn't go.
