Like I said last week, Hope this rumor is true! Lane is the reason this team is actually competitive right now. Get rid of him and put in charge Ryan (argubly the reason for the 2 loses this season) in charge and I would not lose any sleep.
Ahhhh and nothing like helping the growth of a young QB as yet another head coach who is defensive minded and has not much clue about the o side of the ball.

with a team that has a qb that passes for around half of his passes i feel the same way......but coachs know what there doing.....drop back and pass and its incomplete and you just lost a down....kiffen has no confidence in your bassing game because Jrussel isnt going to be able to get it done with his current core around him....running the ball is their only option
I dont blame him! What exactly has our passing game accomplished to make you so confident? If we came out passing the last drive theres a good chance there would've been incompletions and we wouldn't have been able to burn any time off the clock. He was put in a situation at the end where you're damned if you do and you're damned if you dont. If you think the offense is bad now wait til Ryan is in charge..guy can't even make the right calls on defense to close out a game. This has happened far too many times since he has been here as DC. There have been atliest 3 games every year that get blown at the end because the defense can't hold.
nobody believes me but ill say it again. greg knapp couldnt coordinate a passing attack if his life depended on it. when he was in atlanta he was eerily predictable. run run pass. no slant routes, the line sucked so the rbs couldnt be a check down option because they were blocking. i dont watch too many raider games but if this sounds familiar gregg knapp is why.
Im pretty sure Lane Kiffin is doing all the offensive play calling. Atliest thats what was said when he was hired. I honestly dont think he has done a bad job in that area. Yesterday in the 2nd half you can argue he should've called more passing plays.... I dont blame him for not doing so since we have no threat at WR, shakey pass blocking and Russell is still very raw. I dont think Russell is ready to have the game put in his hands like that yet...atliest he hasn't looked like it so far.
As for Greg Knapp Im assuming he will be doing the offensive playcalling when Kiffin is gone so Im not expecting any improvement.

J. Russell 9/19 156 take that big pass out and its obvious why Kiffin doesnt have any confidence in the passing game.
lol@everybody wanting Al Davis to die, yall cold, who would be better then him? its not like Eddie D would buy the raiders, and raise Walsh from the dead to turn them into a Dynasty, Building a winning NFL team has some to do with luck, sad to say, and you gotta suck REALLY bad, before you get good.
I'm not even close to a Raiders fan but can tell you he's the reason they suck right now. He spends tons of money on the wrong players, fires coaches for not thinking like him (this alone sets back a franchise, every time you hire a new coach you have new schemes and play calling to adjust too), he keeps coaches that may not be the best but listen to what Al wants so they are fine in his eyes.
