Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter has revealed that he has a seven season arc planned for the show.
The third season of the FX biker drama concluded on November 30 and a fourth has already been commissioned.
"If I can get seven seasons [and] if we continue to get the viewers that we've been getting then, yeah, I kind of know how I'd like to...play [the story] out," Sutter told UGO.
He added that that he had devised the "broad strokes" of the show's intended run.
"I think ultimately it's Jax's story and it will continue to play out as [that] and his ability or inability to stay connected to the club," he explained. "I have a sense of... where the big mile markers are and what seasons some of those things play out [in]."
The showrunner also confirmed that he was keen to bring back the character of Kozik (Kenny Johnson) in the future.
"I'd like to bring Kenny back, but... I need to make sure I have something I can do with [the character] rather than have him... just linger in the background," he said. "I don't want to do that with Kenny... but yeah, I thought he did a great job."
Sutter recently defended the decision to kill off a regular character in the show's third season finale.
