Is that so Nitro? You got some stats that suggest over 100,000 civilians were being killed in a two year span under Saddam’s rule?
Iran-Iraq/Kuwait-Iraq wars, sanctions, murder and [kurd/shia] genocide pad that number pretty well. I do not have any documentation that specifically points out a number that large (especially in recent years) but there is plenty of reason to believe that civilians were going to continue dying in Iraq even if Saddam did not directly target them.
That is your own opinion, probably formed by the media. With or without our permission, (what does it really matter?) they were going in to rob Kuwait. We do not authorize wars. I could just as easily tell you that we did not give the "green light" to Iraq. Did the commander in cheif to our military give the "green light".

And why was that Nitro? Perhaps it was because of the sanctions that were placed on Iraq and the basic infrastructure that we destroyed from the first gulf war?
You're right about that. Throw in a couple of illegal wars with neighboring countries and your just about on point. Blaming the U.S. for sanctions and bombings in Iraq is like blaming a cop because he arrested you for a crime you committed.

You can post the horrible things Saddam did before the illegal US occupation and I’ll agree with most of them; however the argument that was being made is that we invaded Iraq to spread democracy. My argument is that it has NOTHING to do with spreading democracy and you should know this. You already acknowledge that we are “stealing” oil and their resources. You know damn well if Iraq was rich in oil and other resources we would have never invaded.
Aghhhh, I think we still would have invaded. After all, America is an imperialist state right? Extending our authoritive hand through territorial gain is sufficient reason. I do think the invasion has something to do with democracy, but that is just spit in a bucket, as there are many reasons we chose to occupy that country.
