Now that all of Strange's releases for the year have been released (I think, correct me if I'm wrong), how do you feel about Strange's year? Has it been good, prosperous, and satisfying...or did you think it was a big flop and a waste of your time? Give your opinion on the whole matter, I'd like to know what everyone thinks of Strange's year.

i would say it was a success in a way, because "killer" "vitiligo" and "feature presentation" are all great records.

but i would call it less then a success in a way, because none of the cds sold well (besides "killer" which posted respectable numbers)...but very few cds sell these days, so thats to be expected.

"tales from the sick" and "the plott thickens" would also fit in the failure category because there wack as hell

I can see why The Plott Thickens could be called whack, even though it was much better than I thought it would be, and I bump a few songs still.

Tales from The Sick was pretty good.
I liked it a lot.

Killer, great, not his best, but great.

Vitiligo, not as good as I hoped, but good none-the-less.

Feature Presentation, one of my favorite releases this year.

ILL BILL IS INCLUDED FUCK YALL

Great year, I was let down to an extent with Krizz's and Tech's albums just because they hyped the shit out of them and they just didn't deliver like I was hoping, still, both excellent albums, but what the hell ever happened to Critical Bill?

not on Strange anymore.

I thought it was an overall good year for Strange. I'm pretty confident that it was a successful one business-wise for them. Music-wise, it was up and down. Vitiligo was solid, Killer was solid, Feature Presentation was solid. Prozak's album was ok at best, Grave Plott was terrible on a monumental level. Promotion sucked overall, and the Like Yeah video was a letdown especially after the long wait for it.

Nothing has happened this year that makes me think Strange is revolutionizing hip-hop in anyway. But yeah, like I said, I'm not in Travis' checkbook but I'm pretty sure he would call it a successful year.

How come so many people are not mentioning the S&S album?

Speaking purely musically I'd say that overall it has been a good year for Strange Music, however I must say that with the exception of Prozak's album (which was better than I expected) and Grave Plott's album (which I had zero hopes for anyway) I was just slightly dissapointed with all the releases. Don't get me wrong, I like the albums, but none of them quite lived up to the expectations that I had made based on the artists' talent. I'll put them in order of favorite to least..

Killer - A very, very good album but it had too much filler and didn't grab me as much as Tech's previous albums.

Vitiligo - Another very, very good album, but I expected something more experimental and "interesting" from a guy like Krizz.

Feature Presentation - I'm starting to think that Kutt is a truly great rapper. The album is let down by some weak songs though.

Tales From The Sick - Prozak really stepped his game up.

Word On Tha Streets - The biggest letdown of the year. It's not bad but the songs on disc 2 of Everready had given me such high hopes for the album.

The Plott Thickens - Had a bunch of pretty good songs and some very nice features but sadly neither member of the group is really any good.

I don't mean to sound negative - it really was a good year - but they didn't deliver any classics.
