I agree with statement for the mostpart...
As far as wordplay and depth I wouldnt call him a rapper or lyrical.
But he does bring class and a smooth voice to the mic.
And he does make dope music if ya actually go through his catologue dudes talented.
And in the bay Matt Blaque is over Drake IMO
He's my favorite producer at the moment with songs like Somthing to bang 2,Put Me On and All Over Me...Dude makes big hits and the best shit Ive heard out the Bay since the mid 90's.
And J.Stalin with Livewire is the other candidate,theyre puttin out more music than anyone in the bizness right now and almost every c.d. under that camp has solid music.

He sound more like the old kanye west then lil'wayne. When people say lyrical at least my meaning is when you say something dope it comes out right and sounds good. There's a bunch of artist out there that are lyrical but when they say it,It just doesn't sound right. You can be the dopest rapper in the world but if you don't know how to say it write it's going to make the average rapper that can word his music right sound ten times better.
Shit the word lyrical seems very objective. A rapper's "lyrical ability" is different in different people's eyes. I called Drake a Wayne clone because his lyrics are so fucking similar, as well as his flow and delivery. The old Kanye used to rap about something. His songs had meaning. I don't see the comparison with Kanye when it comes to Drake.
