I don't understand why people aren't considering "Turf Drop" a flop or a failure. It's been on the radio all over California and hasn't done anything. If people aren't feeling the beat now, they're not gonna be feeling it later on. On a side note, the only way I see The Ball Street Journal doing the numbers that E-40 "needs" or deserves is to have a song/video with either T.I. or Pitbull as an official single.

A T.I. feature seems like random to me.

that turf drop shit slaps. the kids like it so fuck off!
Well, if "the kids" like(d) it so much not only would people still be playing it/hearing it/talking bout it, but this thread wouldn't exist. It sucked and everyone knows it. As for our friend 707s defensive post, it's a bunch of PR crappy efforts that are meant to keep 40 "alive" in a positive way---trying to convince us-"the kids?" that the song was meant for them and the streets or some such nonsensical crap and that Ball Street Journal will not be the BullShit Journal and will be the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Aye on that U and Dat point, that was the groundbreaker. Really one of the first songs with T-Pain on the hook (other than his own tracks). That song really opened the floodgates for the vocoder problem we have on every song!!!
