if you a rapper and i find out that you also stock shelves at k-mart i'm throwing your chorizo ass cd out the fuckin' window while im dippin' down that 805 south...
you sound stupid. a lot of famous people, not only rappers, but fighters, and athletes, and actors worked minimum wage jobs while pursuing their dream.

and to add, you obviously dont have any g homies. cuzz i know a grip of b's and c's and eses that work at dept stores, auto shops, retail stores, all kinda stores, wherever they can get it legit. they not all active, but nonetheless they G's.

whats wrong with having an additional income buddy? and you wonder why ecay cuzz cussed yo ass out.

Like I said, I can feel someone thats working and if the rap about shit they've been in (past or present).. I will support.

I've been there too licwit.. Labor Ready in the early AM... fighting fires for the Dept of Natural Resources diggin fire trails...

Truth is, its hard for a felon to get a job..so if a homey gets one, whether is cleaning up at the mall or stadium.... Personally, I feel that struggle and understand.

not exactly, u gotta atleast pass a background check ..have valid street credibility

and it also depends wut u rappin about

I digg what you sayin..

So what if you not on no Spice 1 type shit.....does the background check and street cred still matter?

What if you just a regular nigga on the block who got bars?....Does that count for anything?

Is an average nigga allowed to speak on shit that he sees goin on around him from day to day?

Honestly, and I don't mean to sound like an asshole, but Johnny Truelove is a dumb ass. He hates on 50 Cent and says he's not "real", but is like Game's #1 fan. Pretty funny. All he does is hate on people and talk shit, when you know damn well he wouldn't be sayin that shit to their faces. He's just a hater.

shit i been gettin up early every mornin just so i know i have consistant income if this rap shit don't work. so that makes me square? can't wait on the game to feed me or my family. been doin this at the same job for 6 years. damn there 7 years ago before they started inforcin background checks. ever since my son was born. got my family on my medical insurance. it ain't about me no more. been there and done that. niggas got bills to pay and summo shit. i don't understand how that is square. who the fuck wants to attract attention to the police if you don't have to. my niggas on parole say they homeless on they paper work. come out and be fucked off kus they got no parole address. in that situation you have to grind, why kus a niggas can't get no work. shit it's hard enough for a regular or square ass nigga to get work with this economy. for some rappin is a hobbie, some a career.

just kus you got a job don't mean you ain't a real nigga and ain't out here fuckin with these niggas in the street. got homies that work and push shit on the side lookin legit. fuck strugglin. if somebody gave you an opportunity to make 50 thow wow a year just to work unsupervised with benefits 401k and all that good shit, would you fuck with it? hell yeah you would lyin ass niggas. if not then you are on some bullshit.

as for gangsta rap and hip hop. "gangsta rap". how you gonna have gangsta rap with out bangin or some hood shit? shootin slangin and bangin or just on some G shit? it ain't even just on some shootin shit slangin and bangin shit, if it's G it's official and it ain't no weenies rappin at real mufuckas who really experience the shit you preach.

I must be super square to alot of folks then...

I work full time, Go to College, My Credit score is 774...no bullshit...I am only 27.

I would never leave my job to pursue music full time because it is a dying industry.

but it's no the outside riches but the inside riches that produce your happiness.

Real Knowledge inspired by real life.

I feel that the rap game needs to put on real people. I cant listen to the bullshit I hear.. but I listen to unmaster, umixed, rough cuts by some of the dopest.. even shit that is posted up for fun (freestyles or tracks) on here to me are more dope than what I hear on the radio.. very few things on the radio, rap wise, catch my attention.. beats are good.. but the lyrics... bland and mediocre.

In which I hope that some of the homies on here make a come up.
---------------------------

I spent 2yrs of my life behind bars (juvenile) and when I got out, I came to a crossroad that felt I need to make better change in my life or I would end up like alot of my homies. Sitting down for that long made me change myself for the better. and continuing school "open doors"(get that joke) that being a criminal(burglary, robbery, and auto theft) wont do.

I'm glad that I changed my perspective and now, I use my knowledge to try and help people around me. For my homies doing music, I will push them in hopes to better their career and selves.. even if its just the simplest thing.

I guess, I never felt being a "hoodstar" would do anything for me in the long run. Wont feed my family, wouldnt let me see the world, wouldnt let me hold a decent job.

Nothing square about trying to have a better life and being responsible. If music is your gig and your good at it.. hopefully opportunity happens. But you gotta give props to people that balance music with every day life and struggles.

Nothing Square about being a man and being responsible for you and your family.

YOUR KEEPING IT LEGAL THOUGH , THATS THE GREAT PART BECAUSE THE FAMILY GETS TO EAT & YOUR AROUND TO SEE THEM SMILE.....

I KNOW THE DEALING THING IS MORE $$$$
BUT WORKING A HARD 9-5 LEGIT MAKES YOU FEEL GOOD @ THE END OF THE DAY TOO .....
